Wlad is already comparable to Liston or Holmes

Patterson would have ko'd Chris Byrd, who has a win over the tougher brother.

So? Randy Turpin has the single greatest victory in history, how many lists does he top?

Buster Douglas might have the best HW victory of all time. Single great victories don't amount to much in the long run, sustained success is more important. Sometimes not even one single great victory is enough, Rex Layne has two and he never makes top 20.

Fighter get in the HOF years if not decades after their retirement.
Byrd was considered Number One at the time of Fight 2.
Povetkin dominated the Amateurs like maybe only Teofilo Stevenson before and was unbeaten as a pro before Vlad made him look like a sandbag in his own hometown.
And Haye was Cruiserweight and HW champ before he got totally outclassed by Wlad.

This argument is as rational as any positing Klitschko victories over any of the atg heavyweights.

Wlad has had good victories. And some victories over good opps - Haye, Povetkin are the two that are good opps though they aren't good wins.

    just to clarify ;-

    - a good victory is where you look good over at least a fair/decent opponent.

    - a victory over good opps means beating someone who is at least pretty good, by KO, TKO, by hook or by crook as long as you get the win.

Problem with appraising Wlad is hes never had both occur in the same fight - had a good victory over at least pretty good opps.

Fantasy fights are fantasy fights. You can't prove anything. Predicting fights is not an art form capable of perfection. You can only make an educated guess.

Your logic of "Hall of Fame wins equals greatness" is simply crap. Nobody ranks Kockell over those fighters. Nobody even ranks Kockell.

Byrd will likely end up with two Hall of Fame wins in Holyfield and Vitali. Byrd will never be ranked above Wlad.

I am not saying hof means greatness but you can only judge how good a fighter is by the competition that he has faced. Having victories over hof fighters is one metric of determining how great a fighter was or is. Of course you can make up your own metrics and it sounds like you already have. Losing to journeymen while in your prime doesn't necessarily make you a great fighter in my eyes. Of course you may see things differently. lol

Why is an admission that Wlad has had good opps AND good wins, coming from Planet hate?

Is your version of planet hate where people walk round complimenting each other? Surely that planet love??

You seem a bit mixed up, why do you live in a world where you interpret love as hate?

I do hope you don't beat up your wife when she tells you she loves you.

How about victories over prime hof opponents? Do you disregard that also?
