Lennox Lewis was very talented and clearly the best heavyweight of his era. Having said that, he didn't have a great relationship with the fans. As a matter of fact he made the majority of his boxing income against Tyson and Holyfield. It was their drawing power that fattened his wallet. Lewis was usually running on half throttle and everybody could see it. He should never have lost a fight, and considering the opposition, he may well have knocked out everybody he faced if he had made the effort.

That could be said about many different fighters, not just Lewis. If Joe Louis kept his hands a bit higher he wouldn't have been KO'd against Max Schmeling in the first fight, etc.

Not true, and not relevant to my point. Lewis didn't make as much money as he could have because of his laziness. Joe Louis made lots of money despite his flaws. He came to fight and the fans could see it. Compare that to Wladimir Klitschko who spends more time kissing and hugging his opponents than hitting them.

Absolutly right. And i was born in the same year my famous boxer is born:hi: (besides of Wladimir Klitschko) Evander Holyfield and i followed boxing for many years. Wlads career since 1995 at the Amateurs.

I am also a great Lennox Lewis Fan, but these guys who calls Wlad boring, i believe they never watched Lewis vs. Tyson, holding is a tactical part of boxing:

Yes he apologized decades later through an interpreter. Ali had no remorse when mocking Fraizer. To call him a gorilla is much worse than wearing a T-shirt.

Trash talk is trash talk, I'm sure Haye respects both Klits. Haye's always talking about how disgraceful the heavyweight division is due to out of shape heavyweights. Well the Klits are always in shape .

I see your point but I'll watch any LL fight over Wlad.

Even you have to admit the unification bout agains Ibragmov was awful to watch.

I do not critizie Wlad for one fight. This fight was very tactical but it was Ibragimovs style which makes the fight so tacical. It is not that easy to hit a guy who is leaning back and is waiting for counter you.

But Wlad had other fights and i believe we have not seen the best of him. Wlad is an human beeing who is not brutal. And we could see not the best of him because his opponents are not good enough.

David Haye is a different story. He wake up "the Monster" in Wlad and i believe we will see Wladimir Klitschko knocking David Haye out unless 6 rounds.

Lewis lost his cool too in the prefight trash talking against Rahman but he is able to divert all his anger to his fist in the ring during the rematch.

Let's see if Wlad can do the same.

Exaxt that is the point and the reason for the great KO from Lewis against Rahman in the rematch.

Wladimir could divert his anger to his fist against Austin and i believe he will do it against Haye.

But Steward is right, because of all the talk Haye brings back excitment since the last great fight Lewis vs. Tyson.

And this is great for Heavyweight Boxing and Wlads legacy.

You are comparing apples and oranges. There is a tremendous difference in talent between Lewis and Rahman. There is virtually no difference between Haye and Klitschko. Anybody who expects Klitschko to run over Haye like the rest of those bums might be in for a surprise. If Haye performs as well as he can I expect Klitschko to collapse like a house of cards.

This is a great fight as its not totally obvious who is going to win. Wlad should win on paper but Haye might be the perfect adversary to beat him: quick, aggressive, hard hitting.

I have a feeling that both guys are gonna hurt each other and the winner is going to have to walk through some adversity to win this one.

Are you new to boxing? Neither of them has walked through adversity in the past and I don't expect them to do it now. The outcome will largely depend on how Haye performs. It wouldn't surprise me if the fight resembles what we saw in Klitschko vs. Ibragimov. It is easy for Haye to mouth-off outside the ring, but when he has to face that giant and feel the punches coming at him, he might suddenly lose his appetite for fighting.
