This is what makes ESB GREAT!

I don't know it is that attracts autistic people to boxing websites, but they are an endless source of amusement and really liven the place up.

Don't look at the numbers, look at the quality of opposition

Norton would probably beat Wlad. Frazier would knock him out inside 2 rounds.

Funny thing is I like the Klitchko's. But they're really not that good on a historical scale. Ali would never had quit like Vitali did. Ali would never get knocked out by a club fighter like Lamon Brewster, or gas out against Ross Purrity. A lot of the top contenders that Ali beat, like Quarry, Bonevena and Chuvalo would have wrecked Wlad and embarresed Vitali.

I feel the same way, I'm not a fan but I don't 'hate' them eaither. I just hate it when they start calling K. bros ATG's and puting them in with the likes of Ali, Tyson, Louis, Marciano and other former top Heavyweights that could beat Vitali and Wlad in their sleep. IMHO the K bros. only rule todays Heavyweight division by default.

    Exactly.

Nowadays they compare "Wlad vs Tyson, the myth" or "Vitali vs Ali, the myth".

    But facts are facts.

Aaah, Tyson, the myth... Marciano the superman... Joe the invincible.

Pure speculation. That Ali's median last 10 win-opponent had worse career records than Klitschko's opponents is a FACT.

And I have actually been kind, because I included the below 200+ fights of Ali's opponents. Once you delete them Ali looks even worse.

The thread starter misnamed the thread, because I never claimed that Wlad was better than Ali. I just compared the last 10 opponents by a quick overview.

Wlad hits as hard as Foreman, but with greater accuracy. Foreman dwarfed Frazier at 6'3, Frazier would never land anything on Wlad. The only sub six foot fighter who had enough movement and speed to land on lad would be Tyson. Frazier and Norton would be easy fights for Wlad. Less accomplished fighters like Sanders with the combination of size, speed and power would always be a problem for Wlad, but not undersized fighters like Frazier, no matter how great he was in his time.

And to the person who thinks Quarry would embarass Vitali: Your brain cell must be a very lonely one up there in all that empty space...

How on earth would Quarry land punches on a 6'8 fighter with excellent reflexes? Have you ever watched how much Vitali makes his opponents miss with his anticipation and leaning back style? Just because he isn't textbook pretty doesn't mean his style isn't effective.
