There isn't much out there for Wlad to face right now except Arreola or Seth Mitchell in about a year. I know Tarver is 43 and is noticeably smaller but the guy is 6'2" and has a HW reach. I would at least have some interest in this one as Tarver is a wily old vet and can box from the outside and pick his spots.

    Thoughts?

Tarver would literally be more of a challenge than Mormeck, I've said this ever since Mormeck emerged as a plausible contender. :good

Nah, Wlad should fight either Chisora, Helenius, Povetkin or Arreola.

Tarver can do things not alot of other HW fighters can do, so he'd do okay IMO at first, but the fact is that he doesn't hold the weight well, so eventually we'd fall into that familiar K brother pattern.

No. Arreola, Povetkin, Helenius, Chisora are all more interesting. Because they actually have a small chance at a kayo.

Why not? At least it would last longer than four rounds

    No.

I can just imagine all the whining and b1tching from the Klitschko haters if Wlad fought Tarver.

    Tarver perhaps should fight Povetkin.

Tarver is in terrible condition, overblown and even tho he's tall and carries a punch, he doesn't have legs anymore. He's well behind the cameras using his best asset which is his mouth with Al Bernstein in Showtime and fighting here and there at CW, LHW...

Is Povetkin ever going to fight a Klit or is Teddy going to keep him away from them and say he isn't ready....I understand of course Povetkin is still very young :blood

Well, i realize that there are better opponents out there but given the fact that some aren't available or aren't willing to face him, i think Tarver isn't a bad idea.

It would be ok I guess. There's not much left and Tarver would be interesting.

Povetkin would be better, but he's been ducking Wlad since 2008.

Chisora would be better, I agree.

Arreola would be better, I agree.

Mitchell, Wilder, Pala, etc., are still prospects. They need a couple of years.

Interested? No. Not at all. But if he wants it let him come and get it like a man. Like Povetkin and Arreola wouldn't, which forced this crap fight down our throats in the first place.
