Lewis had the best jab of his era & I think he had a better jab than Vitali. Does that help? Golota & Bowe also had great jabs when they used them.

:rofl The Wlad that had Panic attacks against Brewster & Peter is the same Wlad we are watching today. The same guy who got KTFO by Sanders just beat Chageav. I find it comical that Wlad after beatting Crisp Turd and having over 40 + fights would be considered not in his prime when he lost to Sanders & Brewster. I also find it even funnier that his big bro after a 4 yr layoff easily disposed of Fat Peter while Wlad Froze & was on his ass.

Lewis has a better jab than Wlad period. I'd like to see Wlad in with same class of fighters Lewis fought, he'd have more than the 3 losses.

:think I said the exact samething to PugilisticPower last night, but as always he was quick dismiss it. Wlad has been a pro since 96, his fight with Sanders took place in the summer of 03 and he lost to Brewster in april of 04, thats 7 to 8 years of being a pro, 40 pro fights under your belt, was WBO champ at the time when he lost.

I think Steward was a blessing to Wlad, without him he would surly lost to Peter and his career might of been over. Steward has taught Wlad how to clinch, jab more effectively and more often, how to control your fighter better from a distance, and how to pace himself better. Wlad does still have a weak chin and is not that tough when things get rough in the ring, but unlike before Steward came into the picture, he is better protected and now has more learned options for when trouble arises.

IMO he hasn't fought anyone since Peter who came in looking to KO him, Brewster tried to box in the rematch, Chageav tried to box as well, the moment he meets an aggresive puncher who comes after him, we will see him freeze up.

I would love nothing more than to agree with you, but I honestly can't say for sure what Wlad will do. Wlad has had it easy for awhile since fighting Peter in september of 05, but who is out there that can do that? Arreola may have the right type of style to beat Wlad, but he too may freeze up once he feels the straight right hand or the jab, like Wlad's last several oppenents.

I think Haye's got a shot, but his chin definitely worries me. He has the skill, power, speed, and killer instinct to be able to finish Wlad. I just cant predict what he will do once he feels Wlad's big right hand, that's the answer I'm dying to find out.

2 similar fighters. Both pretty much dominate opponents with the jab to set up the right hand and when hurt didn't know how to cope. But Wlad is bigger, the better natural athlete and has a better left hook.

Bruno's jab would definately give Wlad problems and Bruno hit as hard if not harder then anyone else Wlad has faced so he would always be dangerous. But Wlad is more likely to get to Bruno first. Wlad by TKO6 in a tough fight.

Toss up fight for me, both big, both great jabs. Bruno's was a harder jab that would literally push and jolt the other guy back, Wlad's seems more to disrupt rhythm and disrupt timing so he can fire that monster right hand.

They both have questionable chins at the highest level and TBH, Bruno would imo be the best person Wlad would have ever faced. Make of that what you will.

Whenever Bruno had a big fish on his plate the ambulance had to be called. Wlad is a big white shark.

Too much on his plat for the stiff Brit who plays more or less in Danny Williams or Samil Sam 's league. He would have been out of his shoes against such a classy heavy like Wlad.
Bruno was a good domestic UK fighter, but no big hit outside British soil.

Tough one and a good matchup. Not exactly huge a fan of either boxer.
If Wlad can survive Bruno's early onslaught (ramrod left jab, right hand and plenty of rabbit punching) then he could score a late stoppage.
My gut instinct says an early ko for Bruno as Wlad seems to fold under presure but its tricky one to pick.

Also Both would probably spank Haye!:D

    Bruno fans:

Please provide an example of a Bruno fight that showed this supposedly awesome jab that was anywhere near a fast, accurate, or heavy as the jab of Wladimir.

Just watch any of his fights on youtube. Actually not the Tyson ones as he was far too tentative with it. Try vs Lewis.
