Wlad vs Haye was the best build up to a fight ever

Despite the disappointment in the ring, the pre fight build up was just great, although laughable since Haye choked on the night. I enjoyed every single minute of the pre fight build up, especially over the course of 3 years.

There are plenty of funny moments to look back on and countless quotes. And Wlad showed another side to himself that no one would have believed.

In a nutshell, the fight was boring, but the build prior to the fight is the best since I can last remember. :good

 

I thought Hatton vs Floyd was better.

Still, build up wise it was a biggie.

 

i liked floyd hatton much better too... it was a bigger fight and there was more respect from both fighters imo..

btw in recent years no build up tops Mayorga Vargas.

 

Floyd vs hatton was very good too. By far the best hype up I saw was dlh vs mayweather, phenomenal promoting there. But yes this was a huge build up and entertaining the whole way

 

I agree with PBC... DLH vs Mayweather. The hype was amazing, Golden Boy vs Pretty Boy. Over 2 million in PPV buys.

 

I'm still scratching my head to be honest. I was sure that Wladimir must not really care about a dumb t-shirt. But there he was at the post-fight press conference talking about the t-shirt. Certainly Haye has done a few things that should have pissed the Klits off but this wasn't one of them.

In hindsight it's difficult to tell what was real and what was faked. Part of the animosity was real, in any case.

 

I loved the weigh in for Floyd vs. Ricky.

 

hatton v floyd was brilliant best 24/7 ever!! i did enjoy the hbo face off with haye an wlad tho made me get right up for the fight, wasnt worth the trip tho hamburg to boring fight and got **** wet through trying to find ze german taxis!!

 

The idiots who called this the most anticipated fight since Klitschko Lewis are just that IDIOTS.

For one, we were expecting Lewis to thoroughly dominate Kirk Johnson, and then 10 days before the fight, without a camp, Vitali took the fight. No hype, no expectations to win, and most believed he'd be KTFO.

Now, the rematch would've easily surpassed the Tyson Lewis buildup, but of course Lewis ran like the giant ***** that he is.

This fight between Haye was the most hyped fight since Lewis Tyson and maybe even Holy Tyson 1.

 

i discount any of the prefight when the fight turns out like it did....the only thing that comes close to being worse was all the hype for years about the new star wars movie, the phantom menace....what a let down!!

 

vitali was in camp numb nuts. he was supposed to fight on the undercard. if you're going to talk about boxing, at least know what you're talking about.

Best build-up for a fight for a long time sure. But if Manny and Floyd ever get down to business that will blow it away 10 fold.
