I had a brain freeze and voted for Wlad by stoppage. I meant to vote for Holmes by stoppage.

Wouldn't be surprised though if Holmes hits the deck or gets hurt by Wlad's right hand before rallying to win.

It wouldn't be an easy fight for Holmes, but I think he wins.

Yeah, Wlad has been trying to get the uppercut happening. It is obvious it is working on it, and it is something he is trying to develop into his arsenal. I'm hoping that is a sign that he wants to improve his infighting.

As you say though, the results have been mixed. So at this stage I rate his uppercut as poor. If he keeps working on it, then it might improve.

Talking straight out of your ass...
Wlad never got Kayoed and always got up before the count; he never faced Lennox, so i don't know why you say he was his best opponent..

And don't act like a tart, pretending that Holmes never lost against shitty opposition.

Holmes didn't lose to anyone "shitty" until he was a sick flabby 40+ year old.

Holmes got robbed in the rematch.

Holmes had been declining since 1983 IMO.

Still, Spinks winning the first fight shows what a special fighter he was (if we needed more reminding after his brilliance at 175).

Spinks is a hugely underrated fighter. The fact Holmes lost to him is seen as a big negative on Holmes' record and Tyson knocking him out in a single round isn't given the praise it should be. He was a terrific fighter.

Weaver and Snipes also hurt Holmes, with right hands.

Larry might have to get up from the deck in this fight.

I agree with you on this. Besides, Holmes had a long damn reign by the time of the first Spinks fight.

You're a moron. WALDO never got KO'd? Yeah right, he was bounced around the ring like a basketball against both Brewster and Sanders and was rescued from the KO against Purrity.

Holmes didn't get KO'd until he was 38 years old and facing a prime Tyson who is in everyones top 10 H2H HW list so please remove the bull**** here.

Holmes didn't lose a pro fight until he was older than WALDO is now, and that was to an ATG LW champ, and it was marginal at best.

Of WALDOS 3 losses to date, how many of them have been close? :rofl

Holmes is overrated here. He had an ATG jab, but his reign is over-celebrated. How good was he really? I saw an inexperienced Tim Witherspoon give him trouble and almost have him out on his feet in his prime, and he couldn't decisively beat Spinks in two tries, who was his best opponent. Wlad was knocked out a couple times early in his career, but is near unbeatable in his prime. Wlad enjoys all the advantages and I think he wins a boring affair.
