I guess Holmes on a close decision 2 out of 3 times they meet. I'm amazed how many people voted for a Holmes KO, while most of his KO's were from jabbing his opponents to dead like Wlad, but without the huge powerpunch. I can't believe he would dominate Wlad so much he would quit or gets overwhelmed by the amount of punches taken. To stop Wlad you have to be a big puncher, and Holmes simply wasn't.
yeah i'm realistic. Holmes was a great fighter, he had good speed, a big heart, a great chin, high ring iq and a good size, he is a superheavy. I think it would be a very close fight, and holmes would never blow out wlad. wlad's jab imo is as good as holmes's jab. wlad has way better power, a great straight right hand and a great left hook, good footwork and fast hands, and a very high ring iq. his chin is bad. holmes is imo a smaller, technical better and faster version of wlad with less power. this fight would be ****ing boring and one of them would win a close decision.
I agree Holmes is a better all rounder (probably one of the best all rounders of all), but Wlad doesn't let people fight their fight. Wlad has built his career on fighting on the outside and ONLY fighting on the outside- which he does very, very well
I think people need to watch vintage Holmes, and take a closer look at his jab. Vlad` pushes his, Holmes was MUCH faster and had a lot more snap on it. Holmes jab is in another league than Vlad... He would use it to punish Vlad, and wear him down. A true boxing lesson, and I DO think he could sting Vlad with his right cross/uppercut. Contrary to popular belief, Vlad does NOT have a solid chin...
popular belief?? where the **** have you been the last 10 years? stuck in a cave watching "vintage" Holmes?
Holmes did have more snap to his jab, but Wlad's is much more powerful & he hooks off it better than any Heavyweight I've ever seen. Holmes didn't have big power & Wlad has power in both hands. Wlad would catch Larry late & leave him in a crumpled heap.
