Why do Kli****s think hugging and leanging on smaller apponents equals domination? Wlad got exposed and if it wasnt for weeks stopping the action when fury landed a left hook in the clinch , wlad would of been knocked out..

Absolutely yes, his resume is superb, one loss no matter how bad does not change that. List 10 heavyweights better than Wlad.

Do I really need to keep going? Because I can. Top ten my ass.... (This doesn't mean he isn't good, but stop the lunacy with the 'top ten ATG' comments)

Moronic thread. Yeah, Sullivan, Jeffries, Dempsey, Louis, Ali, Holmes, Mike Tyson, all sucked too, because they lost at the end of their careers. Only Tunney, Marciano, Lewis and Vitali are great HW's because they went out on top.

Lennox Lewis would have beaten Wlad Klit in 2 rounds. Maximum.

Keep going on and embarrassing yourself. While there are some crazies who would agree with you, no one in their right mind would agree with some of the people on your list being better. Even Dino, who has an obsessive hatred of Wlad, probably would admit some of those boxers aren't as good.

I could go on about more, but Ezzard Charles lost about 20 times in his career, was kd'd about 30 times, and Floyd Patterson last about 8 times and was kd'd 20 times. Neither one was champion for remotely as long as Wlad. Sam Langford was never even champion at all, and he fought in an era with about 1/10th of the competition of today. Get out of here kid.

Smaller gloves in a different era. Comparing the "length of reign" is irrelevant when making such comparisons. Saying they were "knocked down" without admitting the size of the gloves is embarrassing to you. You do know they didn't fight with those nice 10oz gloves back in the day right? How many punches could Wlad take with 6oz gloves? Or even 8 oz gloves? What about the different rules? Wlad handle a rougher fight? Stuff that is considered 'dirty' today was fair game back then. And what about 15 rounds?

None of those men were champion as long as Wlad? Yea, because they had competition in their division, fought with smaller gloves, fought more rounds, and fought more often. Look at who Wlad has fought! Give me a break with the top ten ATG nonsense.

If you want to sit here and believe he's "top 10 ATG at heavyweight" material, fine. Just don't be surprised when people laugh at you for saying it.

Those old school fighters were real world champions. Not paper ones like Wlad. Wlad has arguably never been a world champion. He never unified.

And as for fighters losing, so too would Wlad have done if he fought in any other era.

Lennox Lewis would have walked straight through him.

Stop this nonsense. Charles resume at heavyweight is LAUGHABLE in comparison to Wlads...better competition my ass, Walcott and Marciano are the only names worth mentioning, both were cruiserweights and his record against them is 2-4. :patsch

The only time I've been wrong is Klitschko-Povetkin, which is Wlad's best win, but if you look at how he went about getting the win, there's no way you can look at that as a great victory.

Defenses and stats and wins don't mean ****, it's about who you beat and how you beat them. This isn't MLB or NBA.

Fury exposed what any knowledgable fan knows, Wlad does not have championship level toughness and is mentally weak. He would be taken out by many B and C level fighters throughout history because of this. It was insane reading people in this forum and people in the media talk about Wlad as if he's some great boxer who would be able to be competitive with the past great HW's.

I can't think of a more beautiful way of Wlad's run ending than losing to Tyson Fury.. :rofl

If I was a very good young cruiserweight right now, I would just skip CW and go to HW because the division is open for the taking by anyone who can actually box and has championship level toughness.

I do think Wlad is being held to a different standard compared to previous champions and past greats.

Wlad is a champion in decline it was evident in his previous fights yet people are acting like he's still young and prime.

I remember when Lewis embarrassed Tyson and people were claiming he was as good as ever and still in his prime. He struggles with Vitali and suddenly he was out of shape, disinterested, old etc.

Wlad was a champion in decline who lost to a younger fresher fighter. No disgrace in that.

    Like Cunningham?:D

You'd need to be around 200 cm tall and expect to get your weight around 110 kg in fit condition... :D Unless you are exceptionally talented boxer like Mike Tyson, for example... They come around like once a century.
But for sure, go ahead cruisers and make your challenge on Fury. Like Cunningham did. Where is Cunningham now btw? :D
