Wlad does have an awesome left hook. I think the best thing is how well he hooks off his jab. As has been mentioned though, there have been some absolutely phenomenal hookers in the history of the heavyweight division. Can Wlad's really be considered better than all of them? I don't think so. Wlad has the best hook of any current heavyweight fighter, it is not like it sucks, but I think the OP may be a bit carried away.
Dunno about best ever, but watching him knocking down Mercer with the pair of LHs I though it was over. Wlad needs to use the shot more often.
This. His hook is very efficient and gets the job done, but it's not as spectacular or devastating as a Tua hook for example.
Not the greatest, but it is a fine weapon. He can be said to have the best hook off the jab of any heavyweight, but not the best pure hook. Hell, I think even Cooney beats him in that respect.
