If the refs did their damn jobs the height difference wouldn't be so substantial.

Fact of the matter is the refs who officiate the heavyweight division are the absolute worst in the sport. The only guys who get the job done, those being guys like Robert Byrd, never again see contracts or jobs because HBO house fighters end up on the losing end.

HBO loves those big giant pussies who throw one punch and grab. As long as they score knockouts, they can be just a bigger version of John Ruiz and get away with it.

You take away the clinch and the 6'2 heavyweight comes right back with a force. That is a fact.

I will say it for the umteenth time... please Wlad lovers, listen this time...

Wlad obviously has skills, and is the best HW out there. That's NOT what this thread is about. Try and stay on topic, I'm beggin' ya. The topic is his enormous height and reach advanmtage over 95% of his opponents. It's not just a minor advantage either... it is H-U-G-E. Does he have technical adavantages as well?... of course he does. We all know that... it is NOT what this topic is about. His height and reach are things you can't train, teach, learn etc. It is God-given and it is absolutely one of his biggest advantage over his opponents, if not the biggest.

    Period, end of story.

    Topic summary:

If Wlad wasn't Wlad, he would not be Wlad.

Yep, if Wlad/Vitali/Lewis were 6 feet tall they would be journeymen, they would not have the reach advantage and their jab would not be an advantage as it is, on the other hand, the fighter molds his skills based on his physics and strenghts.

    :good Good assessment.

As you said, height is only one aspect that Wlad has that most other heavies don't.

Power, speed, discipline, and skill...............I think he has more of these attributes than most anyene else, as well. He's a deadly combination of many huge assets and that award him advantages or smaller, less powerful, less skilled, less disciplined, and slower opponents.

With this winning streak, improved stamina/pacing, and confidence that he seems to have these days, facing Wladimir in the ring must be quite a daunting task. No wonder he can't get anyone to unify with him.

I agree, his hieght is a weapon but not his biggest. Wlad is very skilled fighter with a weak chin, that will be exploited when Sam Peter hits it.

What have you been smoking? McCline knocks down cheater three times and had him out. Cheater won't get the same respect if they fight again...Peter gets KO'd if they rematch, maybe TKO'd.

NO. You seem to be of the impression that Wlad still clinches a lot in his recent fights, but if you were paying attention you might have noticed that he hasn't clinched nearly as much since that Peter fight.

.................unless Peter's new marshmallow chin gets hit first, and with Wlad's skills, I'd bet that Peter's gets tested first & often. :D

In fact if they have a remtach I'll wager my entire V-Cash stock that Peter ends up belly-up! I may even wager some real cash if I can find any local idiot who believes otherwise :yep

Look no further than ESB, I will bet you a one month vacation from ESB for the loser. Peter will be back and better than ever, you will get a small preview of what Peter will do to Wlad in when he fights Makaev.:yep
