Speed could **** him up, he catches them all on the way in because they are so damn slow. But even fast ones will get caught so they need a chin.

Or somebody as big as him, athletic enough to go more than 2 rounds at anything but standing still pace who also carrys power and a chin.

Against Corrie Sanders it was obvious that the Wladimir at this time wasn't able to control the distance to his opponent. He couldn't handle a slugger who threw punches from the most strangest angles I've ever seen. Rewatching the fight it reminds me of a good and honest pub-war.

I think Lamon just hammered him with a good clean shot after Klitschko overpaced... Lamon came in smoking, ducked (in his case he mostly just ate) the jab and countered it with a left hook. I think that left hook to the head, the ducking of the jab is something that Haye and Chisora are both capable to do. More than other fighters in the division. The biggest problem will be the jab that definitaley improved since the Brewster fight.
Thats just a raw theory and there will be much more ways to beat Wlad. But for the smaller guys that wild left seems to be a quiet good way...

No he can not, that is why he is ducked by hayes, valueve, an other top 10 ten guys,,,There should be a clause in the fight, for every rd a boxer takes from him on the cards he gets a bonus, maybe this will help to get the top guys to step up. Maybe is faking his injury to hayes will think he is weak an have the guts to step an fight.....

Not by old b rated fighters who were once 2nd tier.
Not by out of shape part timers who never learnt to box (Aerola, Peter)
Not by small cruisers (Eddie Chambers 7 pounds lighter than Adamek with a 10 pound belly)
Not by short fighters with average footwork and low workrate, Chageav and Sultan.

May be by guys with fast feet and hands, who can unloaded 20 punches at a time.
May be by pressure fighters who hunt you down.
Speed, boxing ability, youth, work rate and in shape might help. Lets face who has he fought with these skills. If he had then I could rate him.

I do not blame Wladimir but his oppentents have been poor.

In all seriousness it would take someone with ATG skills at this point. Its not a question of can but could.

Right now there isnt anyone in the division that has a reasonable chance, barring some miraculous punch. But Ive never considered the "all it takes is one shot" argument to be valid. Thats not a strategy nor is it a skill. Its a lucky punch that no one is even good enough to be able to land in the first place.

I think guys like Haye Adamek Solis are all measured in if they can trouble Wlad but not really beat him

we get excited cause this guy may actually win around

Wlad is a very solid fighter

he fixed his mental and stamina problems

his defense has been made harder to penetrate

he uses the jab to perfection

against Peter he showed more killer instinct than his last few I hope he keeps the trend
he was winging the rights and lefts

One thing I wish Wlad did nmore was let the left hook go more often

according to Manny Steward its his best punch at least thats what it said in the prefight leading up to Brewster 1

The problem nowdays is that the HW division is so weak, that you don't c a good opponent coming up, the K's has impossed their size on most of their opponents, but they r not fast or one punck ko ala Tyson, Shavers or Liston, I think their reign has more to do with the lack of good opposition than their prowess as boxers. Look are their loses, WK (Puritty, Sanders, Brewster) and he never fought LL, VK (CB and LL) only LL is a future HOF out that list, so yes I think anyone with balls a good chin and some pop could put anyone of them on the mat, and kept them there.

Haye has the best chance - if he does manage to get inside and detonate that right hand.

Saying it is much easier than doing it though, Haye will have to be very patient as there is no doubt he will take many a sharp jab to the face in his attempts. But he does have the speed and explosiveness to pave away through in my opinion.

Not a single fighter has even come close to beating him in his prime (2006 onwards, peaking in 2009/2010). If Haye gets blown out in round 12 after losing the previous 11 rounds Wlad might as well retire. Nobody in the division would pose a serious challenge after that.

Now that Wlad's left hand will be permanently impaired by his 2" abdominal tear, Wlad is beatable. Just not by Haye.

This division is not as weak as people are claiming.

When Lewis was champion you had guys like Ruiz, old Holy, Chris Byrd (who I like, and is good, but not great) Kirk Johnson, old Tyson, Grant, Rahman and Mesi.

Adamek, Haye, Solis, Vitali and Povetkin would be competitive, if not beat, any of those contenders (and that list actually includes legit beltholders at the time, and an undisputed champion from that era).

This 'Wlad is only so dominant and seemingly awesome because the division is the worst ever' type argument is simply nostalgic bias. IMO
