Fair enough. The only full fights Ive seen were against Pinklon
Thomas and Tyson. Dont remember the Thomas fight but
felt Tillis showed heart and stood his ground in the Tyson
fight although Wlad and Mike are totally different.

hookfromhell... this is HookFromBaltimore, and I say that Tillis doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell even on his best day.

Tillis won his first 20 fights, 16 by KO, prior to his WBA HW World title fight vs. Mike Weaver. Weaver won a somewhat close, but clear, 15 round decision. In those 20 fights he didn't beat any top HWs.

He beat Ernie Shavers by decision in 1982 then was stopped by P. Thomas LKOby8, G. Page LKOby8, and T. Witherspoon LKOby1. He was clearly decisioned by Carl Williams, Marvis Frazier, Gerrie Coetzee, and Tyrell Biggs.

He was dropped by Tyson but managed to last the distance. He even had a few good moments... but he was clearly decisioned vs. the up and coming Tyson. So, I guess just because he went the distance vs. Tyson... he could have stopped Wladimir Klitschko? Oh yeah, egg allergy... whatever.

After Tyson he was outboxed by an old Joe Bugner in 1986. He followed that up with 8 more KO losses.

    This thread is a joke!

So, this thread is dead? Who picked Tillis? Was it hookfromhell? I can't call him Hook, that's my name and has been for over 38 years.
