he is where he is for so long because he hits very fast and very hard, every guy he's beat is going to say that and they do. Anybody that takes his mantle in terms of longevity and KO percentage is going to have to do the same. hw is a very hard game and getting harder.

Wlad is very fast, and extremely fast for a man of his size. But I think he gets labelled as being slow because he no longer uses the variety of punches that he used to use when he was younger. For a long time now, his ars*nal has consisted of only a few punches, along with him utilising his size and strength to clinch and lean on people. So for fans who haven't seen his career in it's entirety, it's given them the impression that he's quite slow and robotic. But he's been fighting a lot in that manner since his bad losses. Of course it's been very effective for him, but it's not always been pretty on the eye.

Regarding the Austin video, the first two hooks were fantastic. The follows up were also very good, but Austin was trapped against the ropes with his head down, and Wlad was stood right over him, with his right hand touching his back. So I think it sounds a lot better than what it was. When I think of 3-4 hooks at a time, I'm thinking of Roy Jones. But despite that, it was still a great finish that highlights his speed.

Regarding Ali, his speed bag was bigger, but I believe that the smaller bags of today are faster. There's different platforms and swivels etc. I think the Ali of the 60's would have loved today's bags.

Wlad may have been faster than the version of Mike that Tommy worked with. But there's no way that Wlad was faster than the version that Rooney and Atlas worked with in the 80's.

One punch speed is not multi combo speed,if you are faster your PUNCH not punches will land first....that being said ..Tyson and Wlad are the top two ive ever seen....of ciousre counting real punches to hurt you not slap like ones. there are also other variables like reach/style...if both fought eacothwer Wlad punches would land before Tysons, however Tyson had great Defense to Wlads style and theres a different argument,

Wlad at 240 was faster than Ali at 220 without question...mike at age 15/16 at 200 pounds had the fastest hands ever, period.

I think that Mike's overall speed was faster.

When Ali was in the 220's, it was when he fought in the 70's. And he had to change his style because he could no longer move like he could in the 60's. But he still had very fast hand speed.

Ali at his peak was faster than Wlad, but Ali was one of the fastest, if not THE fastest HW of all time.

Wlad is also very fast. But I wish that he'd have shown his full repertoire of shots in the last few years. You can understand why fans label him as 'Robotic' etc.

I'm very much looking forward to the Fury fight. Have you got a prediction?

Fans that lable him robotic simply don't know what or how to break down what hes doing....

Ali was around 210 in his 60's era and wore close to 6 ounce gloves with less padding in the 60's,ive fought with these gloves and believe me they are like punching with nothing. All things considered Wlad with 6/8 ounce gloves would be very difficult to avoid. Fury will be k.od within 5 rounds I am predicting. no one ive EVEr seen under 215 other than Tyson would last with Wlad, thats just what ive seen.....certainly no k.o puncher lasts with him that's for sure. Fury is a big guy but he hits soft in comparison and no visdeo EVIDANCE he is going to bring the fire power all of a sudden in this one.

Tyson had great speed you can make a case for either,i would probably side with Tyson he was lighter and had to punch upwards almost always which slows the velocity down. Tyson also on film 'TRAINING" thru 5 power pounches in 1.3 second...Wlad did the same howver in an actual fight...though most getting hit with Tyson 1/3 combo was usually out for the count...I would say Tyson/Wlad are the two fastest Hw's ever...looking at ali you can give him the number one spot but by what standards are the punches? Wlads direct, take your head off shots with Tysons in my eye rank over Ali's.

Nul points for turtle awareness. Turtles are no slow at all really when moving in water. There is even a Japanese film called Turtles Are Surprisingly Fast Swimmers. How could you not know this? It's absolutely mind-boggling that someone could still be so ignorant in this day and age. I should imagine that even a three-legged turtle could still swim pretty fast, especially when being pursued by a predator.

'Many people may believe that turtles are slow creatures that never know how to put a little giddy up in their step; however the truth of the matter is that turtles are very fast when in water. On land however the average turtle is typically only able to move about 1.07 miles per hour. Another interesting fact is that turtles can actually swim even faster than we humans can. This is mainly due to the fact that they have light shells that do not weigh them down in the water, streamlined bodies that help them travel through water efficiently, and strong webbed feet to help them keep moving.

It has been said that the average turtle swims at a rate of about 10-12 miles per hour but some have even been recorded to swim as fast as 22 miles per hour. New born hatchlings on average swim about 25 miles in 30 hours. While species such as the soft shelled turtle are very active creatures, more active than other species even and are quite mobile and able to strike with the speed of a snake and the agility of a mammal. These creatures are also able to move their limbs at rates comparable to those in birds and mammals and are very powerful swimmers that can even run on land at astounding speeds!

When turtles swim they use their flippers as paddles. The most efficient undersea paddlers are the giant sea turtles. They are clumsy and almost helpless on land when they come ashore to lay their eggs, however they are fast migrators in the sea and can reach speeds of 10 knots and are very agile creatures. The giant sea turtle has been said to swim as fast as 35 miles per hour!

Even on land they can move surprisingly quickly when they want to.

To those claiming Wlad was faster than Tyson because of what Brooks said need to remember that Brooks took over Tyson when Tyson was at his heaviest, he was also coming off nearly 2 years of inactivity and he looked like **** in his next fight vs Botha.

A fight in which the commentators said Tyson seems to be moving in slow motion and he looks like a shot fighter.

And secondly, Brooks was training Wladmir at the time, of course he's going to say that.
