There were a handful in the other section, its not important to me to find the specific posts, though that's why I created the thread! Also to show how fast a 6'6 240 plus pounder ccould move since he is labled slow and clumsy... :patsch

I would really break them down if I got into the footwork department!

The glove size means a lot if you are a HW,thats why they do not use 6/8 ounce gloves anymore. Jabbing while moving does not make the punch faster or slower, its the fighters style,however..a wel planted foot with better positioingwill genete more power/speedoff the ball of the the foot. Alis speed is overatted if you are talking like simila fighers of the same weight cannot punch as fast with 6/8 ounce gloves...you are simply wrong, video ootage will prove that also. When hitting fast its the PUNCH that is measured not PUNCHES...you cansay he is a faster combo pucher however as I posted I have Wlad throwing 5 POWER hooks in under 2 seconds.....Ali has NEVER did that.

    Speed is relative.

Compared to a big lumbering piece of concrete like a Frank Bruno he is pretty fast, but compared to a Mike Tyson or Ike Ibeabuchi he is as fast as horse and buggy on a highway.

You are just an internet troll who has never stepped in ring. I tried to explain the matter to you, but I give up - I don't have the time to waste on trolls.

I could see why you didn't turn pro now! you would have been a major head ache for trainers, you cant even listen to a simple logical post...:-(

"but once you get some muscle in your arms effect of amount of padding is meaningless, if we are talking about hand-speed. But funny trolling ":good.

    :patsch

One of my former stable mates fought Wilder before he became champion...I think I know the boxing game a little better than you do!

    Interesting.

So you don't think a pre exiled Ali would have lasted with Wlad?

Regarding Wlad's punches against Austin, they didn't replicate what Mike did in training.

Both Mike and Ali were faster than Wlad.

People were saying David Haye was "fast" and Wlad's hand speed was much faster.

I really didn't want to nitpick. The finish against Austin was very impressive. The first two hooks were great. It's just that when you say he threw 5 hooks in just over a second, it sounds otherworldly. But when you actually watch how it unfolded, it wasn't. In my opinion, you can't use that sequence to prove that Wlad was one of the fastest HW's of all time.

Regarding his variation/style of fighting, he's ultra cautious. There's many fights where he's done nothing much apart from throwing left jabs, shooting the right, and clinching. What I'm saying is, from a neutral's perspective, there's been times in the past where he's given the impression that he's methodical. He's a very skilled guy. But at times he hasn't used his full repertoire. He hasn't thrown many combos, uppercuts and body shots etc. Again, a lot of casuals have seen him put in some dull, defensive displays.

    Hows that?

Haye walked out of the ring completely unhurt. Haye's punches had a far greater distance to travel than Wlads and he landed the most significant blow in that fight . Wlad didn't.

Haye was faster. Wlad beat him by being to big and awkward.
