Everyone needs to be voting on the poll IMO. I know some people might not have made their minds up yet but still. Would be good to see what the percentages are like with everyone on board.

 

Equally not one person said Groves is going to jab and run and nick the 'Win' by debatable decision. So everybody got it wrong if you're talking about analyzing the fight itself. I think that was a shock to everyone.

Fact is, the judges made a **** of scoring the last round and if they hadn't DeGale would have won the fight.

 

Yep..... I had Groves having a bit of success early before being worn down and taken out in the middle rounds.

I don't recall anyone who predicted Groves to pick DeGale's pockets. He'd not exactly shown he was capable of that previously.

It's Professor Hindsight who would say that Booth had used that gameplan before to diffuse Valuev. DeGale presents a whole different set of problems to SNV.

 

Agree with Tffp on the DeGale Groves thing.

People who picked Groves fair play but i'm not sure many expected him to box off back foot that well. Tffp is also right on last round i don't see how Groves won that round (round 12) really but i haven't seen rest of fight still and don't wanna! . He won good luck to lad. I thought he would of folded under pressure but he didn't by sounds.

 

I had DeGale winning the last round. Theres also a close round in the middle somewhere (can't find my card) that I thought Groves edged. If I score that round a draw, the fight is a draw otherwise Groves wins by a point.

 

Very similar to how I had it - I scored it a draw.

If I had to score it either way then it would have gone to Groves, but by the slightest of margins.

Was supporting Groves in this fight after the ridiculous BS from DeGale pre-fight, but thought he just edged it with slightly more eye catching moments. That said it was very, very close. No clear winner whatsoever.
