All Nelson said was that "Haye needs to be very disciplined etc" sure you can say that about any fight, the usual crap sky commentary:barf
I felt like I was watching a computer game listening to Darke......"And the crowd acknowledge a special fighter".
No, he didn't. Nelson said that everybody says you need to go to Wlad, move your head and land punches. But he reckons Haye should make Wlad come to him, make Wlad commit and then try to punish his mistakes/him leading.
I like how some people make it sound so easy to get to Wald. The guys got a ****ing barge pole of a left hand To work head or body you have to get past it to get in range unless you have freaky long arms as well. Even at that once you get inside he just moves back into his range.
After taking a **** load of jabs in the chops most people would be discouraged. BUT! Not once did i see chagaev or ibragimov before him try and hit wlad with a left or right to the body. I totally see what your saying but I just wish a potent body puncher would face wlad...i reckon hed fold like a wet fish!
He ****in did say that, I heard the ****. He put on a big tense face and grit his teeth then he said "Haye needs to be VERY disciplined about Klit.."
The key to getting at Wlad is by going for broke and basically charging past the jab. he will sh*t himself and backpedal like mad. He won't try and turn him and hit him or throw an uppercut as Haye closes the distance. If Wlad lost the fear Haye would have no chance as everything else would be too stacked in his favour. But Wlad won't let his hands go if the other guy is letting his go.
They're just not good enough. There's no hurry up to what they're doing, it's all in done in slow motion, no conviction. They know what they have to do, but are not capable of it. A midget southpaw who wants to counter punch is never gonna effectively pressure a giant with a world class jab.
