Wlad by KO/TKO around the 8th round. It could come earlier, but I imagine Wlad will fight cautiously and make sure Haye is plenty worn-out and sapped from his jab before Wlad goes in for the finish. On the other hand, Wlad hits so hard and Haye's chin is so suspect that a knockout could come even before Wlad actually goes for one. Wlad has a huge, heavy jab and it should hurt Haye. I think I recall Haye saying that Monte Barrett's jab hurt him, so he is definitely not going to enjoy getting hit with Wlad's. I think this fight would have been much more competitive before Emanuel Steward taught Wlad the jab-and-grab. Since Manny has come on with Wlad, though, I never thought Haye would have much of a shot against the younger Klitschko. Wlad should smother Haye early when necessary, lean on him, sap him with his mass. Haye has never had the best gas tank, and that isn't going to improve with age or against an opponent as large as Wlad. This isn't Valuev; if Haye tries to dance away Wlad will keep him at the end of the jab and bank rounds while Haye wears down. Everybody understands the gameplan here. Haye has one opportunity to try to win the fight early. I'm sure Team Wlad will prepare for that and adjust accordingly. Haye's speed should not surprise Wlad, either. Not after the Corrie Sanders fight. He's seen that. I give Haye very little chance in this fight. Wlad will have to make a mistake or series of mistakes to lose. That could happen, but I highly doubt that it will happen. Wlad has improved tremendously in the last few years and he is looking forward to shutting Haye's mouth once and for all, both for himself and for his brother.
Well, what I've seen from Haye he just doesn't fight that way, certainly not at HW. Haye isn't a "leading" fighter, sometimes not even if he is 3 classes better as his opponent. And of course Sanders has a much better chin, he can take or even walk through a hard counter, so it's much easier to bumrush a very good and dangerous opponent.
If this fight will ever happen, i am certain that Steward will have an exact game plan for Haye, and Wlad will follow that plan for a late ko. Unless Wlad gets off the plan and gets tagged in the chin, he should have a very easy jab fest and i don't see Haye eating many of his rights. Remember, this is not he same Wlad that got owned by Sanders or gassed against Brewster, he has one of the best trainers in the world preparing him.
Styles make fights. I think Hayes speed and aggression will be Wlads undoing in this fight. He will be Cautious and get tagged. However..... Based on the Audley fight, Haye was not aggressive and sat back for two rounds, if he does that and gives wlad a chance to establish his rythm, using the jab, Wlad will do what Wlad does best, slowly wear Haye down and finish him ALA Chambers(no im not comparing haye to chambers). This fight is so compelling but there is no way it goes the distance. I ruefully pick Klit by stoppage.
IMO Sanders boxes completely different than Haye. Sanders boxes straight up, tall. Haye is crouching in a low position, often punching looping wide hands. Sanders is never shy to stand in front of his opponents like a statue and trade with them. That's why he was knocked a couple of times but his gambit worked beautifully against Wlad who was ambushed and steamrolled like an amateur. Do you think Haye would take the risk and statically stand in front of Wlad like Sanders did?
imo there will be only one end, and this will be an early ko for wladimir. haye looked not that fast to be honest, he has good handspeed, but his footwork is bad, he has bad defence, or no defense, he couldn't slip ruiz's jab, how in hell will he slip one of the best jabs of all time. a lot of people underestimate wladimir's hand speed, that is his best asset, he has great handspeed and crazy power. i see wlad knocking haye clean out in the fourth round with a left hook or uppercut, because he can use the uppercut against a low standing fighter like haye.
I think this fight, if it ever happens, will play out like Haye - Harrison with irony of ironies, Haye playing Harrison to Wlad's Haye...... If this fight gets made, I suspect it will be because Haye will have been shamed into taking this fight. He will be as much a victim of his own vanity as will of Wlad's right hand, Haye's ego cannot tolerate being held in the same disdain as Fraudley Harrison:deal
I dont belive that this Fight will go 12 Rounds no way This Fight will end By a Nice Knockout 7-10 Round is Finish. Wlad 60-40 Haye has Only a Early Knockout Chance 1-5 Round
I agree with the general consensus that Wladimir is more than capable of dominating Haye; however, you only have to watch a few videos of Wladimir to see how and why Haye could win by knockout. 1./ Wladimir can be an anxious fighter wrapped up too tight in carrying out the plan perfectly. I'm sorry but a guy as good and as powerful as Wladimir should have finished off Ibragimov and Chambers much quicker. Lennox Lewis would never have taken them to the 12th round. 2./ Wladimir can be seriously hurt, and lose his way because of it. Two huge shots against Peter in 2005 (round 10) almost saw his great career go down the pan. Wlad can be hurt. 3./ Wladimir is used to fighting guys who either have speed (Chambers, Byrd), or have power (Peter). Almost never a combination of the two. Nobody he has fought recently can throw punches like Haye. 4./ Wladimir is very used to running things in Germany, and loves the self proclaimed 'Klitschko show' I could envision a mental breakdown if a former cruiser with big power catches him clean. Wladimir is the rightful favourite by about 60/40. However an upset is definately possible. If Haye makes Wladimir anxious by going backwards with some grace, but really makes Wlad even more nervous when he catches him, then alot of people can be potentially stunned in this fight.
