There are actually a few different versions of these men, as their careers changed over time, but if we're looking at their perspective bests as I see it, then I'll take a 1990 Holyfield over a 2007 Wlad....
The offensive machine that was Wladimir around the time of the Mercer fight was terrifying, to say the least. I hope he gets that killer instinct back...
Same here. Wlad wouldn't be able to outslug Evander like Bowe did, and I find it unlikely that he could keep young Holyfield on the end of his jab. After all, a 37 year old Holyfield gave a prime Lewis 2 good fights (the first one I scored 8-4 for Lewis, second I had 7-5) Holyfield KO 7.
Yes, but no chin could have taken that kind of beating. Wlad could have landed on plenty of fighters in similar fashion to Mercer considering his accuracy and speed, not to mention his size.
There is no doubt in my mind Holyfield would make Wladmir do something he doesnt like to do, fight! He would be stopped late.
Not when they're there to win, bring there own speed, counters, defense and movement. The Wlad who dominated Mercer got splattered by Sanders
Sanders Panders! That was a fluke Lucky Kayo! Sanders is nothing more than a one hit wonder journeyman. hes lucky he never rematched Wladimir. I think this fight depends on if Wlad suffers a panic attack or not. If he doesnt...he has a good chance at outboxing and possible stopping evander. But I think Evanders workrate and combination punching will force wlad into heavy mode causing a panic attack. Wlad does have the heartm, skills, and power of a great superheavyweight, something vitali does not have. I think wlad does better vs holyfield than vitali.
