Heavyweights now are completely different animals to back then, Cooper would have been a top guy at cruiser but not heavy.

 

Imagine how immense the WW division would be of Floyd ****ed off. Almost as good as the SMW division would be if Ward retired.

 

i would rather shut my **** in a door than watch drago , if espn really think this is what the boxing public want to watch then i suggest they have a re think as the channel is fast losing its way with fillers like baseball the odd premership game and russian soccer

 

If you don't like the fight or the fighters simply don't watch. I mean, you won't be forced to watch it.

It's good ESPN have picked it up as get it free with Virgin, also does a good Friday Fight Night similar to which sky used to do, quite alot of good match ups undefeated fighters on the way up. It's also good for all UFC all for free not even the mention of less than a pint a week...

 

Probably the last boxing on ESPN before BT Sport takes over. This is the type of fight Boxnation should be securing.

Retract that ridiculous statment...Floyd commands global attention and is the best fighter in boxing..People love to watch him.. Ward is a ring master and a genius tactician and is widely respected and good for the sport..Most importantly they fight only champs and the highest ranked guys in their division........ K2 cherry pick bums as champs and then go on to provide an absolute **** showing of saftey first ,non stop jab and hold.....The division would be far better off without them and would allow decent fighters get title shots instead of lowballing guys like Pulev with currupt tactics.

The problem with the heavyweight division is every one wants an easy path to the Klitschko payday. None of the contenders are fighting each other. That means the Klitschkos struggle to find decent opponents and whoever does get a shot is completely ill-prepared having mot even beaten a top 15 fighter.
