Wladimir Klitschko vs. Rocky Marciano

He features in practically every credible top 10 HW ATG list and Wlad does not.

As of now he has not done enough to be labelled a top 10 ATG. If he fails to fight AP and gets stripped , that a step down the legacy ladder. In all honestly how can you claim it isnt.
Im a huge Ward fan but am objective enough to admit that one fight a year and being injury prone will effect his legacy.

 

Like I said, lists are subjective and opinion based.

Right now i class both as greats. Right now I think Wlad beats Rocky.

Ofcourse it's a step down, like when Holmes refused to fight Page and got stripped. If he begins to sit on his title like Holmes, Dempsey, Johnson and Willard did he'll rightly be criticised. Would that be enough to significantly detract from his achievements to date, time will tell.

Also I'm not a Wlad fan either, but boring someone doesn't exclude them from being one of the greatest.

 

I'm no fan of wlad I was praying haye would spark him. I hope fury or price does also, intact anyone put in the ring against him I'd root for.

I just don't envision Rocky beating him.

Certainly this, and Wladimir can be described as a much more effective Ruiz.

Wlad isn't good to watch it's jab and grab all the way. I'd love an all action fighter like arreola to do him but he's gone the wbc route.

How is Wlad a h2h defeator of ATGs when he is sidesteping Povektin, a boxer who is half as good as Louis ,Tyson, Marciano, Holyfield etc...
Dont you think he would want to make a statement after all the weak bodies he fought by pushing for the fight, but it seems he has no desire to do that and is happy to make another voluntary defence. Choices like that convince me he doesn't get past Marciano.

 

You lack any type of objectivity. Ducking Povektin? Please, we all know who was the architect of the stumbling blocks in those fights, he doesn't have the attributes to trouble Wlad anyway.

Tyson would very likely eat Wlad up, Marciano isn't Tyson. Holy? Hard to say, he lost his physicality against stronger, bigger opponents and wasn't a concussive hitter, which is what puts Wlad in to panic mode. Louis? Louis is like a smaller version of Wlad with more grit but slower feet. He lands a few flush on Wlad its big trouble though, combination punching and finishing was through the roof.
