I don't mean to say that he is scared. Anyone who is a pro boxer is not scared. But he "fights scared", meaning really cautious.

either klit by point or valuev by ko. would actually be a decent fight.
klit wouldn't be able to keep valuev at range on the outside, and would therefore have to get drawn into a fight

Damn, so many picking Valuev. I wonder why? Maybe its just to raise Haye's win. Before nobody gave a slight chance to Valuev, now they're piccking him by KO. Wow, just WOW
I wish this fight happened just to shut up all the haters out there

Someone said earlier that now that Haye has hurt Valuev it' assumed anyone can do it.

First, either Klitschko has always had the power to break any other fighter's chin, especially the power that Wlad carries.

Second, Valuev's chin has always been suspect for the following reasons: because he has been wobbled by lesser fighters, because most of his opponents were soft touches with weak power and because his head is so high up it's never really been tested properly.

Third, Valuev's stamina has also never truly been tested in part because the pace of his fights are typically rather casual. Neither Haye nor Chagaev really landed any meaningful stamina depleting shots on Valuev (both fights in which he admitted his stamina failed him in the end), so what will happen to him when he starts getting tagged repeatedly.

I was amazed though, Valuev was doing the jig one second after Haye's left hook and before Haye could even react in order to capitalize Valuev had already regained his senses. The recovery was very impressive.

Of course they can, just not against the likes of Valuev or Haye for that matter. Barring a lucky punch either Klitschko KO's David. They are both better boxers than David too.

Vitali's biggest problem is he's getting old & he's been kickboxing & boxing for too long.

Wlad's biggest flaw is his lack of infighting & he almost never uses his uppercut.

I've also said in the past that a Wladimir vs. Valuev match would be interesting since Wlad wouldn't be the biggest guy in the ring by a long shot.

Wlad does fight cautious, that's true but smart fighters with the technique to do so usually fight that way.

You are correct. I can't fault anyone for winning. That's the most important part of the game. I think sometimes he's cautious to a fault. He can have some spectacular blitz-type wins if he really wants. It's one thing to be cautious against someone dangerous, it's another to be cautious when you are so clearly superior in every way. I guess in the end, a win is a win.

I mean why should he slug with a slugger when he can pick them apart from a distance & set up big right hands. His KO ratio alone makes him an exciting fighter. I realize fans like fighters who are more agreesive, especially early, but that style leads to more mistakes.
