When I see klitschko I see a guy who is just as boring as Mayweather, just as good as the over rated Mayweather but just because he doesn't duck guys and of course at heavyweight if you are hit with the type of shots Mayweather has been (see the Mosely fight) you lose your "0". So basically for these reason he is critisized but Mayweather isn't.
I'm not a huge fan of Lewis, but he took way more chances and came back from being hurt in more fights than Wlad. Against Vitali, Briggs, Bruno, Mercer etc... He was able to weather the storm. The only fight I ever seen Wlad weather a storm against, was Sam Peter. Where he excessively clinched and hit the deck 3 times, to escape with a victory. As others have already mentioned. He uses his size advantage to beat almost every opponent he has faced, and clinches anytime they get in on him. Lennox was a cautious fighter, but fought when he had to. If Wlad tried exchanging punches with a good puncher, he would find himself on his back faster than a fat girl at a college party.
Floyd parrys , slips , weaves and rolls shots as a form of defense. Thats boxing. Bear hugging and back riding is a different sport.
He has a glass chin and poor durability so he fights constantly safety first. Add to this he constantly fights tomato cans and the result is a boring hwt.
It is a part of boxing. Watch some Ali fights! My grandpa said the same about Ali. Holding and running is not boxing!!! Wlad is a smart and very skilled fighter. One of the best heavyweights of all the time. Very sad Emanuel Steward died last year. Miss him in Wlad´s corner. With Steward Wlad would have knock Povetkin out in round 8.
Yeah, apparently it takes a tongue lashing to motivate Wlad to throw punches and KO a finished fighter these days. Manny would be furious that Wlad let Povetkin go the distance
Very skilled? Have yet to see him slip, feint, block and then counter and he has no inside game. He has that straight up European style from the olympics thst everyone laughed at. I seeca walking statue fighting other walking statues.
