I think Vitali is better, but no I dont think hes the best of all time. His footwork isnt good enough. He has this massive size and reach so he should be good at controlling the distance, but hes not the best of all time.

I agree, i think VK, Ali, Lewis are better at controlling distance.

Besides, fat slow plodders who present big lardass stationary targets are the easiest to keep at bay, & his brother VK looks better at that.

Maybe, maybe not. Im of the opinion it is at an all time low, but Im sure I could be educated on similar era's. Being in the "here and now" Im sure it magnifies it just like it does when era's are stronger they often get a bit over rated. Jmo.

My pick would be Sonny Liston...but I somehow get the impression you've heard of the guy.

Wlad is up there, I would put him above Lewis and Vitali in that department.

-2005 was the low point of this decade but its gradually got alot better. Every era goes through similar highs and lows, especially during transitional periods after a great Champion retires. Post-Lewis, Post-Marciano fairly similar. Politics have really complicated this one though, at least this summer we'll see top 5 Heavies paired off and mixing it up for the first time since Tyson/Holyfield and Lewis/Golota.

IMO the post Johnson era/Dempsey´s reign was comperable. You had two excellent hws - Dempsey, Wills - and the rest, well, lhws were the best challengers. Patterson´s reign is also comparable. Tyson´s as well. But that´s just me.

No, you guys are right. But living through it is just so much more dreadful than reading about it, if you know what I mean.

WALDO needs to at least beat Haye & VK to have something comparable to Tucker & Bruno imo.

He is vary good at it and also has one of the best Jab's I have ever seen at heavyweight, long short and in between...He showed he had trouble with speed in the Sanders fight but he was too cocky and cold for Sanders and has improved like Lewis did after his KO losses. I think the Haye fight will be a test because Haye will try and land some speedy power shots and unsettle Vlad, thing is Haye will have to take some to get in there and that could be risky unless he lands the big bomb....Still I think Vlad will use the jab (which is better than some right hands) and try and get Haye drunk before he unloads some of the rights....This fight will be interesting

The Haye fight will hopefully answer some questions. Not that Haye is great but he can punch, can set traps, and isn't a plodder.

Haye needs to learn how to lead with bombs, i don't think trying to set traps will work well against Wlad.

    :good

Haye needs to be able to make Wlad open up. I have a feeling this may go similar to Klitschko-Ibragimov

You could be right mate. :verysad

It would be terrible for boxing if that happens; after all the hype the fight is a typical Wlad Snoozefest, then lots of casual fans will be turned-off.

He is a lot more pleasing to the eye than Vitali, overall Vitali has attributes that make him very good none the less, he also doesn't possess Wlad's vulnerability's. "He is way better than Vitali"...:nono
