No, I said it was an awful fight. Wlad's performance wasn't awful, he did what he had to do to get a very comfortable decision, but his performance was not entertaining in any way. If you thought it was a thrilling match to watch, good for you. Get off my back man.
Thompson lasted longer than anyone else almost. If that was dreadful what would you call Byrd's, Brock's, Austin, Brewster II? None of those guys hardly showed up to fight and took a beating.
...what now we need an excuse for WLAD to fight cautious...???...put him in there with Sam Soliman and he'll fight cautious.
ask Byrd, Brock, Austin, Brewster (to name a few) about Wlad not "imposing himself, not controlling them, not dictating the pace, and not winning rounds clearly" I think they would strongly disagree with you
Yeah CHEF...Wlad always fights guys that he feels he has to explain how difficult of an opponent they are. I remember boxing when the public demanded a tough challenger for the champions...rather than the champion trying to toughen the challengers image.
..do you want to talk boxing today, or only be a dumbass...??? We know each other already, there is no point in you playing the stupid Noob at the begining of each exchange.
Most fighters talk **** before the fight then give there opponents credit after the fight. Wlad doesnt talk ****. Thats not his personality. Wlad gives credit where credit is due. To say that Wlad talks up is opponents is a bit of a reach.
I didn't read your post, but I recognize the avatar...who did you used to be...???...are you banned...??? I know we've seen that avatar before.
Retired before he fought him because he's over 40? Lewis would have had the same hard time with the guy.
I believe another poster already mentioned it was opponent availability issues... ...so which southpaws could have beat him that he avoided...???
Ask them? Nah, I can't be bothered going round to the Home For Sub-Standard Heavyweight Fodder and chapping the door. I'd prefer to ask the great Ross Purrity or the almighty Corrie Sanders.
