I think it'll be the winner of Chisora-Fury. None of your options deserve a title-shot to be honest. Except for Adamek, should he beat Vitali of course. Helenius is on the right path, but it's too early, even with a win over Lyakhovich
It would probably be the first time that Wlad was fighting someone taller & heavier than him but Wlad would KO Valuev.
Clearly Adamek if he beats Vitali is a no brainer. That's a big if, but it would be the biggest fight of all possible scenarios. Winner of Povetkin vs. Chagaev: only if Povetkin wins. I've stated my reasons against a Wlad v. Arreola fight on another thread. As for the Haye Rematchno, rematches are for fights that were close or that ended in controversy. And then finally, if Wlad feels like he needs a break, go for the winner of either the Chisora v. Fury or Liakhovich v. Helenius. He could show people just how boring he is when he knocks out of these fighters early.
Helenius is not quite ready yet, give him 3 or 4 more fights and he will be a worthy opponent. Out of all the guys listed he has the best chance to beat Wlad imo, not now but in the near future.
I want a Haye rematch, but if not, the Chisora Fury winner would be alright, cause he's already had to cancel one Chisora fight, so I guess he deserves a shot, assuming he beats Fury, and I venture to say he will. And if not that, I see no demand to see Arreola in there with Wlad. NONE at all. What a waist that would be. I'd rather see Povetkin (assuming he reallyl wants the fight, as he says he does), or Helenious, over that journeyman, already soundly beaten limited Arreola. But above all that, yes, Adamek if he beats Vitali. BUt that ain't happenin, So.....................I think we'll see Chisora get a shot, next, and Haye fight Vitali.
If Adamek beats Vitali, his promoters should look for him to make a voluntary defence in New Jersey in December/January, and then I'd have him defend against Wladimir in New Jersey. That fight would be big news in NJ, Germany or Poland. Failing that I'd say the winner of Povetkin vs. Chagaev. I'd rather the winner of Chisora vs. Fury fight the winner of McDermott vs. Price, as I don't think any of them are ready for such a massive step up in class.
I think his next opponent is a tough decision based on a lot of variables. Right now, there is no one for him to fight...at all. What I think would be best for boxing will most likely be met with ridicule, like normal on here, but oh well... Wlad should fight an exhibition match with the UFC heavyweight champ, using boxing rules, so the UFC dude wont really get hurt (Wlad is good enough to not hurt the guy but still make it exciting...I don't feel the same about an mma guy using their rules). This fight would bring a nice cross over of fans from UFC and mma to boxing, especially if there are mma and boxing matches on the same card, with only the main event being a cross-over. It shouldnt be billed as boxing vs mma, but marketed for what it is, an exhibition with hopefully a really good undercard. Now, assuming Vitali beats Adamek, Adamek should get a fight with Haye when he's healed from what happens with Vitali. If Adamek gets past haye, which he should, that would set up a match with Wlad. Now that match would be one for the ages. Adamek doesnt hit as hard as Haye, so Wlad wouldnt be so cautious, and Adamek siomply doesnt give a **** about getting hit, so there would be plenty of exchanges until someone drops. If Adamek was to somehow beat Vitali, obviously, this fight would go on without the exhibition in the middle of the fights. If Haye was to beat Adamek, and the exhibiiton went on anyways, Wlad would probably have no recourse other than either retiring or fight every contender every 2 months or so until they are all done for the next couple of years. There is not one guy that beat him, other than maybe his brother, and the only guy that has the skills and heart necessary to give a good fight is Adamek. But if Adamek can't get past Haye, than he might just be hype at heavyweight as well.
If Adamek can find a way to beat Vitali then that would be even a bigger fight than the one vs Haye was.
Chris Arreola maybe. Robert Helenius and Alexander Povetkin still need to fight a few more good fighters. Nicolai Valuev may have retired after that loss to Haye. After a warm up for Haye. Maybe a David Haye Vs. Wladimir Klitschko rematch.
There are many logistical reasons for why that could never happen - the main one is that the Fertitta brothers aren't stupid. Dana White constantly crows on about boxing "dying out" - they aren't going to risk any of their fighters in a bout with an elite boxer that isn't shopworn, as the risk is too much for them. Wladimir knocking out Cain Velasquez doesn't do the UFC any favours, and there's a good chance of that happening. I genuinely believe that at some point in the next decade the Fertittas will branch out into boxing. I don't mean they'll have UFC fighers take part in boxing bouts, but I believe Zuffa will ultimately promote boxing cards as well. Once the likes of Bob Arum and Don King are no longer around, I think they'll attempt to move in.
Winner of Chisora vs. Fury or Adamek, keep the titles around Europe for the venues as long as they can.
If Adamek beats Vitali, then Wlad will fight him for sure.. But it is either going to be winner of Povektin-Chagaev or Winner of Chisora-Fury..
