Vitali show more heart then Helenius did since Vitali beat Chisora with 1 arm in which Helenius with 1 arm lost in a dominate fashion to Chisora.

Wlad vs Thompson first fight was pretty entertaining if i remember correctly. Thompson did gave Wlad some problems in that fight. The rematch who knows Thompson might do better this time. Wlad will still win but i wont be surprise if its not a dominate win.

Totally agree. this is the main problem. to my knowledge the last time two of the top ten (excluding any fights that involved the k' bros) was when adamek (who may not have been ranked at the time) faced off against arreola. id rather see some of the top ten fight each other, than see them get a beat down from the bros.

haye is a prime example. he 'retires', and then doesnt have any intention it seems of working his way through the top ten to get a fight at the bros (due to his retirement being a farce). its almost as if the top ten dont rate each other (even though they are all about equal, to be honest).

ah well, at least all the others will have to fight each other in a few years, when both bros retire.

    :huh

Where have I said it's a great fight? I said it would be quite good. Reason being, Arreola is relatively entertaining compared to most others HWs, and will at least come to make an effort. A fight with him sparks my interest more than it would with most others.

And what does it matter that Arreola is fighting "a Klitschko again"? You're acting like Wladimir and Vitali are one and the same person, and that fighting one permanently rules you out from fighting the other.

  6. WOW Wlad fighting in June! That's a long wait. I guess he needs time to recover from that "war" with Mormeck. He lets us down at every chance he gets.

Can't judge a man based on one one-handed fight. Rather judge him on fights against Brewster, Peter and Liakhovich. Doctors and trainers told him not to fight because of the injury, but he didn't want to back down because tickets were already sold.

But true, he can't beat Wlad, he doesn't have the work-rate for it. But the fight sure would be more interesting than Arreola.

While not FOTY Thompson did trouble him a little last time and legitimately won 2 or 3 rounds and gave him more problems than anyone since then.

dude, fights take time to put together. TV dates, Stadiums ETC..... you can't just snap your fingers and the fight is set. It was set for June, but the stadium changed to July.... whats the problem? Wlad will fight 3 times this year:deal

Povetkin needs to step up, he isn't getting any younger. It sucks Wladimir will be doing rematches even though he hasn't technically cleaned out the whole division. I get that it is probably a mandatory, but I want to see Povetkin take the fight like a man.

I see more reason to complain about the Arreola fight then the Thompson fight. Thompson put up a good effort in the 1st fight, hasn't lost since, is the IBF mandatory, is a rangy southpaw etc.

Pretty much every potential opponent for Wladimir is a mismatch but at least Thompson is legit Top 10, if not Top 5. I only rate K2, Povetkin, and Haye ahead of TT.

While Arreola is on a decent win streak he should face someone ranked before getting a shot at Wladimir. Have him fight Adamek, Chambers, Mitchell, or Jennings, and then the winner can face Wlad.

It'd be nice if the haters could just be honest and say "I wish Wlad would never fight anyone because he will dominate any opponent." That's what it comes down to. Any matchup will be bitched about. In the same whine, the nostalgists will allude to the good ole days where HW champs fought four or more times a year.

Is there a tennis fan in the world who thinks Novak Djokovic just shouldn't play tennis right now until he either gets worse or up-and-coming players get better (years later) because his matches aren't competitive enough, and who would actually have the shame to make his case on a public forum? Only boxing fans can be so stupid...

Both will be beaten soundly, but I think Thompson will be a bit more of a test than Arreola.

arreola gets title shots, yet he never beat a top 10 fighter o_O
