Based on the before & immediately after, probably not a great stretch to assume they were more of the same. :yep The 9th picked up pretty much where the sixth had left off.

 

Not quite. Green hadn't done much of **** either, except steal some rounds with jabs to the body while tiptoeing away - and granted, Wlodarczyk was taking his sweet time in pursuit and pissing away any chances.

Green was also a dirty SOB, throwing rabbit punches and leading with his skull in the excessive clinches he initiated all night - especially in the second half - despite almost nonstop warnings by the ref. It's criminal he didn't lose a point. (although he did get a final warning that "next time" he would - the final warning coming after about 20 previous ones. No lie.)

That made the KO so much sweeter. :yep

Danny Green did badly hurt Wlod though. I think it was in the 4th. And it took him took a few rounds to recover. I agree Green was a little dirty inside but I felt for him a bit when he got stopped. He was clearly ahead on points IMO

 

I watched fight in pub in Oz having backed Wlod. Though unimpressed with Wlod from halfway I fancied him stopping Green who seemed gassed after his really good round. He spat his mouthguard out twice in 8th and once in 9th I think.

The fight before it Tomlinson-Herrera was an absolute war, closer than judges had it and well worth catching if you can. Tomlinson looks like the new Katsidis, really exciting.

 

Yeah, early on it looked like the very few good power punches either way were coming from Green. Due to Wlod's inactivity, it looked like it was bound to be a UD win for the Aussie. Then as you say Wlod got hurt badly (and by a jab no less) and it seemed maybe a stoppage was in the pipes. Not long after that, he came on and had Green on the run for most of the rest of the way.

 

Apparently he said he'd go to Australia to make it happen for X amount of money, and was offered X plus more, only to change his mind and substantially increase his demands.

 

Damn missed this fight, have to check it out later.

 

So he wants more money. Good for him. Compared to him, Dib is a ****ing nobody and has no bargaining leverage. None. John can make bank at home against anyone. You're damn right he's going to put a premium on travel.

There is no way in hell John is scared of Dib and it's absurd to suggest that he is.

If Floyd Mayweather Jr. all of a sudden arbitrarily upped his original asking price against, say, Edner Cherry, would that be a "duck"? :roll: Or would it be the man in the rightfully superior position just speaking plainly about what he is and isn't willing to settle for against a comparative peasant?

 

Of course you can take my initial comment with a grain of sperm, it is coming from Dib's team after all, wasn't isn't levelled against anything John's team has responded with(nothing, to my knowledge), and wasn't meant to be 100% serious.

Anyways, that's hardly the most accurate comparison, considering that John's competition in the last couple of years hasn't been too far removed from the level of Dib, who's probably on a similar tier to Yordan in reality(not that I'm questioning the relevance of the Yordan fight, obviously that was a gigantic fight in a historical sense for Indonesia[no sarcasm]). How much of a premium did he put on today's expedition to Aussie land?:think I'd wager significantly less than not only his final offer, but his initial one, against a fighter who isn't worlds below the Dibster in reality.

If Dib's story is to be believed(and it's the only one we have to work with as far as I know) then why would finance be such an issue when fighting a nobody who's just slightly less of a nobody than the nobody he fought today in the same place as he would've fought both of the nobodies? Aside from the fact that the lesser nobody would be the ''home'' fighter rather than the nobody today who he fought on neutral ground, is he that worried about a potential robbery against the nobody who's a bit better? Especiallly when he's getting an abundantly large payday against the lesser nobody, even more than not only his first demand, but additional funds on top of the second demand.

Seems strange is all'is all.
