World heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko admitted on Sunday he is against women boxing at the, claiming the spectacle makes him sick. The International Olympic Committee announced last August that women's boxing will be included on the list of events for London in 2012, but Klitschko said he will not be watching. "This is appropriate for men, but not for women," the Ukrainian told Die Welt newspaper. "I hope that women will not take it badly, perhaps I am old or conservative, but I consider there are sports much more beautiful for women than boxing," he added. "When I see two women face to face in a, it makes me feel nausea. I am not really a fan female boxing."
I have seen decent female fighters at many different combat sports , I have to admit though I dont like watching it. Fact is its maninly men who watch combat sports and the majority of men don't want to watch female fighters. Sadly like many female sports you get a handful of properly talented , skilled operators but the talent in the rest of the field isnt there to challenge them. This isnt the case in all sports but in alot of them , the recent winter olympics proved that.
It's not like women are forced to box, it's all by choice...if it's something they wanna do, y stop them?
I think its a waste of time and money... They can spend the time and resources on somthing like a bikini contest :hey
But I must say womens boxing kinda sucks its like one woman knows wat they are doing and the other does not. I saw a youtube video of female boxing and one girl threw all these arm punches with her chin in the clouds and the other girl waited and timed a counter right and knocked her ice cold. Just what I get outta it mismatches.
I'm not really a fan, I've watched some matches but the quality difference between male and female boxing is too big. But if they want to, and there's a market for it then why not.
