I know he doesn't even have WBO tattooed on his arm to mark his, erm.......... title shot and loss to RJJ.
Calzaghe should take the fight with Woods, for no other reason than it would annoy the **** out of that cnut Froch.
Haha fair duce mate, i didnt think of that lol. And oh yeah i know boxing is a big game of paper scissors but lets face it, if Woods couldnt handle roy jones and tarver then theres no way hell beat calzaghe. and as for ali not even being in the top 10 obviously discredits anything that twat says
Calzaghe ought to pull a RJJ - Eric Lucas with this "challenge". 12PM, play some soccer. 6PM, embarrass Woods. 9PM, pick up his kids, put them to bed. 10PM, slow head from his wife. Nice solid day of work, another $10 million in the bank.
A young prime Woods is arguably better than 95pc of the people Joe ever beat (in the condition he met them).
Woods had tried for years to get a fight with Calzaghe but he was more interested in fighting second tier fighters...Much of the reason that time will not be kind to Joe:good
Sammy Langford. Harry Greb. Sugar Ray Robinson. Henry Armstrong. Ezzard Charles. Roberto Duran. Mickey Walker. Willie Pep. Benny Leonard. That's 9 names I believe are better than him on a P4P scale, a few would agree with me that he wouldn't make the top 10. He might scrape 10th however. He's certainly no better than any of Langford, Greb, SRR or Armstrong. And no, boxing ISN'T a game of rock paper scissors. Just because Calzaghe beats Hopkins who beat Tarver who beat Woods, doesn't necessarily mean that JC would beat Clinton. Haven't you learnt that recently from the fact that Cotto beat Mosley, who in turn beat Margarito who beat Cotto?
From what I've read Woods was after a fight for a long while. He even accused Joe of ducking him. Sure I think Joe would have won, and Clinton is not the best of boxers out there - but he's still a class above most of what Joe fought. This fight makes no sense now though.
I'd like to think so, but honestly I don't think Calzaghe had any intention of fighting Woods. Not saying he ducked him by any means, I just think he had his sights set on Hopkins and Jones, who are clearly the bigger names.
true. but the fight would have been huge in the UK. i'm still burnt b/c i bet on the sheffield twat to beat antonio. atsch
