That was just for Artani. He is hilarious. In the build up to this fight and well any other involving an Albanian he makes all kinds of grand statements. Top bloke and very funny.


I do actually like Muriqi and rate him as a decent Euro level boxer. Albanians are great folk and like every other nation on the planet full of guys who can fight and guys who can not. Hopefully he carries on and maybe finds a title shot at a lower level.


Woods will not beat any top level fighter now I fear. I wish him well.

 

Good performance by Woods, but I didn’t see anything from this to think he can regain the IBF title.

Woods seems to think he may get to fight for the vacant title against Cloud, with the ITV commentators suggesting this may be a final eliminator.
Does anyone think Woods would beat Cloud?

 

Cloud will probably be crap so Woods still has a chance.

 

Nah, Cloud is a decent fighter with a lot of power. It's not easy to stop Gonzalez, Woods certainly didn't achieve that. If Woods can neutralize his power and box well he can take it on points.

All thinks was against Muriqi .

1. The fight sent to island Jersy, to not go more albanians there.

2. Fight was cancelled two time by Hobson, the third time was for real. The managment of Woods wants to broke him and find him unprepared.

3. Notbody did`nt want to fight Woods in the England, only Muriqi accept.

4. Muriqi came in England only three days before of fight, he was tired .... ITV 4 - coments very well this fight.

5. If the fight will happen in USA, Muriqi will KO him.

6. Refere, judges and all around was in Woods way, everybody saw this.

All this I can clamed that Muriqi promoter Joe DeGuardia did`nt want to give more money for this fight to happen in USA, he took good money and dident care for Elvir.

Muriqi will comeback and he will be world champion this year or next year. Ha have all attitude to be world champion.

 

I think Woods would struggle not only with his power but his speed. He's also a good athlete Cloud with good boxing fundamentals.

It was Muriqi's choice to travel to Jersey just three days before the fight, he should have got there earlier.

There was nothing wrong with the scoring or refereeing. This is not Germany.

The fight was in Jersey because Hobson is based there and must have got a good deal to host the fight there. I'm sure even Clinton would have preferred the fight to be in England, preferably Yorkshire.

Muriqi is just not good enough to beat Clinton however he is a good fighter and should maybe go for the Euro title.

You think everything was against Muriqi in this fight, imagine if he had to go to Germany for a fight?

Tim Bradley would not be a world champion now if it was. Granted, the scorecards were closer than they should have been but Bradley would have got bummed in Germany. There's no way he would have got a close decision there.

Artani is clearly extremely biased and doesn't or doesn't want to see the truth.
To be honest I like both guys but was mor esupportive of Muriqi.And to be fair Elvir didn't make no excuses unlike mister Artani.he is a good fighter but I doubt he will ever be world champion,he is just missing on all his best occasions.
Clinton looks past it himself but would still give a fight to any LHW,I hope him an dCloud get together for a dance.

 

Yep. Woods is past top level fighting now but would be worth one more payday and big fight.

Muriqi has always seemed a genuine fellow but I have never accepted him as a top light heavy. Maybe a drop down in weight even at this stage of his career could be beneficial. Who knows he may get another chance to fight a contender and he may come through well. Edison Miranda is looking for an opponent in late March for a fight in Britain and I doubt Britain has any suitable fighters to face him, Muriqi would be a welcome bet.

 

I doubt Muriqi can make 168 even if he is shorter,look at his past weights,he's been 185 and around plenty of times fighting big guys,I don't tthink he can make 168,he had a long layoff anyway,that can't help either.
He is the type of fighter with heart,determination nad will but never makes it.I'd wish he'd fight Shaun George,would be nice.

 

I know I am probably wrong but I assumed he fought at those higher lbs because he was the away fighter or it was the only fight he could take to get on decent bills. You are definetly right about the Shaun George fight though.
