It's a pick-em fight assuming Mayweather doesn't taste the big power from Arguello. Still a hard fight for Floyd and yes he wouldn't fight Arguello. :rofl I don't know too much about Griffith but I hear he had good fundamentals. He would trouble Floyd and I doubt Floyd would be as mobile as he was against Baldomir if his hand wasn't broken. Napoles would beat Floyd at 147. Floyd hasn't fought that kind of slickness & ring IQ before. Napoles would outfox him getting off first and causing Floyd to be too patient. Napoles wins even if he gets cut just as long as he sees the punches coming.
JWW- Oh hell no, hell no and more hell no! JMW- As much as I like Martinez, I think Floyd at JMW will win a UD over him. Julian Jackson could be a toss up if Floyd is able to dodge those nukes if not its game over for Floyd. Agree with the rest you picked.
Tszyu had problems with pressure fighters not the speedy athletic types. Mitchell gave him a good effort but still lost and Mayweather wouldn't be as active as Mitchell was. JJ would ko Floyd as DLH & even Mosley found his chin. JJ finds it and rips it off. Martinez gives Floyd hell and would UD Floyd. Floyd hasn't dealt with that size, speed, and those skills all in one package in his career.
147/154lbs Fighters that would have given Floyd more than enough. IMO Felix Trinidad Wilfred Benitez Terry Norris Ike Quartey Simon Brown Ect... Besides the obvious like: Sugar Ray Leonard Roberto Duran Thomas Hearns (Prime) Shane Mosley (Prime) Oscar De La Hoya
I agree with pretty much all these. I think I'd add guys like Napoles and Rodriguez in there too. But plenty of WW's would tap that ass.
Floyd can beat Arguello by getting on his bike all night. But JCC would murder him, especially the LW version. He's like a hypercastillo, he'd break Floyd down.
Martinez? That's not a given and would be a very, very hard fight for Floyd. Chavez? Yeah, he struggled with JCC's protege so what does a much, much better version do? Tszyu? Struggles with pressure fighters and would give Floyd fits. He may be able to beat Cervantes I'll give you that. A younger DLH would win more than a few rounds than an older one. He'd give Floyd hell. Pacquiao? His reluctance to fight him is giving me the impression that he thinks that Pacquiao would beat him. Again, Floyd is overrated in fantasy matchups. Chavez would shred Floyd like paper through a shredder.
He may be able to beat Arguello, Cervantes, Morales, and Tszyu but I agree that Chavez would break him down and stop him.
