The Wilder from last night boxes the ears off everyone I named.

But I would add Stiverne......I forgot he was a titlist.:lol::lol:

maybe Rahman, you know, the dude who KOed Lennox Lewis.

Besides, it's not fair topic since Wilder just won the title last night.

Douglas and Moorer knock Wilder out.

Like i said before, anything Wilder does, Douglas did a lot better.

Ruiz was a brutal mauler, he went through a few cats, ugly or not
    Serhei Lyahkovich was worse.
Oleg Maskaev was worse, and wouldn't have won the title against anyone other than Rahman

Yup. He wouldn't have sniffed a belt without the influence of Don King. Ruiz was exhibit A for boxing corruption.

How does Douglas get past the ramrod jab of Wilder?

And ftr......Douglas's chin was never considered great like Stiverne's is.

Im a Tyson fan too, but he was distracted and had the flu the week of that fight. Had he not lost almost 6lbs in the week leading up the fight, he'd have had the snap on his punches to put and keep Douglas down and he'd never been a titlist to begin with.

Don't make this a Mike Tyson love fest thread.

    WILDER<Douglas. :-:)-:)-(

Morrison? Although it'd be hard to pick a winner between him and Wilder.

Seldon, Briggs, herbie hide, Liakhovich, Stiverne...

Douglas has a great jab of his own, one he can use with feints, double and triple.

Douglas was superior to Stiverne. He wouldnt just lie on the ropes looking for a counter punch. Hed be ramming home his jab, moving, feinting, pushing. Stuff Stiverne has never heard of of.

Douglas would always have been a tough test for any version of Tyson due to his size and style.

Douglas won his title off Mike Tyson
Wilder won his title off Bermane Stiverne

You tell me who's the worst titlist.

Douglas beat ONE decent fighter in his entire career.

Wilders 5 best wins don't equal the name value of Douglas lone win, but Douglas himself......>= the Liakovich's, Scotts, Gavern's that Wilder's record was padded with prior to last night.:nono

Bruno has to up there. I would take Windy to ko him so that alone merits his inclusion in worst since 90.

    Hahahaha

I was HOPING you would come to that.

    Ok lets go.

Wilder has Liakovich, who was about 100 years old (and never that good to begin with)

Audley Harrison - the less said the better.

Malik Scott - In what was a blatant dive.

People mistake Douglas as just some bum who turned up one night and got lucky, this is far from the truth.

He first fought Tony Tucker and was handily beating him until he gassed, i wont count that as a win, but it was a very good performance from Douglas against a guy that both prime Tyson and prime Lewis struggled to KO.
Tyson/Lewis between them Kod Botha, Bruno, Biggs, Golota, Ruddock.
Douglas beating the **** out of someone Tyson/Lewis struggled with speaks volumes.

He then beat Trevor Berbick, one of the top heavyweights of that era. Berbick had beat Ali (I know), gave Holmes one of his toughest fights, took the 0 of Pinklon Thomas (another top heavy) and was a good fighter in his own right.

Douglas also beat Oliver Mcall...Mcall the guy whose never been down. 5 years after losing to Buster Douglas Mcall would go on to knock Lennox Lewis the **** out and become world champion

I think Douglas was the superior fighter and had the better resume up until they won their belts :good

Not to mention, Douglas also beat Tyson himself.

I think Douglas top 5, is better than Wilders top 5

 Probably with his own jab which is as long, and which he used to buckle Mike Tyson instead of Stiverne?
