Wilder has had a few classics. His first fight with Fury, whilst he didn’t technically lose, his excuse was golden. He’d broken his arm and had to have surgery during camp.

His most recent fight seems to be a fluid excuse, evolving as the weeks pass. We’ve had costumes, spies in the camp and double agents, and most recently Wilder dropped the revelation that it wasn’t actually him in the ring.

 

I don’t actually think Joshua is a very confident fighter for an elite fighter, even in front of his own fans. Fury has natural confidence in that environment in comparison. I think that’s why he gasses early sometimes, burning nervous energy. It looks to be something he’s working on, but I don’t think it’s a natural gift, like it is for some.

 

Wilders costume is up there for sure. Roberto Duran claiming he had a stomache ache against SRL was pretty weak whether it was true or not.

Nothing that a long pre training camp with zero PED testing in Dubai and a rematch in Saudi carn't solve though.
I do give him props for not really giving an excuse though.
The better man won on the night he said and gave tubby Andy the respect as stated above won the rematch then gave a sort of excuse without actually giving one.
Wonder if he will be the same when Fury gives him a brutal beatdown.

Got to be between wilder and haye for me.. will say tho haye did end up making a habit of it!! legs did clearly go against Bellew in there second fight but after the way he was dishing out the verbal before hand was classless.
