May/DLH was not a one sided beat down. Come on, it was a split decision. May squeeked out the decision, but it was a close fight.

he was known to be a drinker throughout his career but it all fell apart when he got in a fight at a nightclub 2 and went to court around the same time he should of been training. went into a clinic for alcahol and depression, got caught evading tax and because he wasnt fighting he had no income, blew up in weight. and the BBBofC is still stuck in the ways that they suspended him for these lists of incidents.
he tried again with a boxing licence but was incredibly overwieght somthing like 145lbs for 130lb division. suspended again.

got into more trouble in spain later on, but got back into shape, got some backing with warren or maloney and was being considered a boxing licence. he was just waiting for his papers to come through to allow him to fight. then when he was ready to get back into the super featherwieght/lightweight mix...sent to a spanish court. and he was banned form getting a licence back.

then his uncle commit suicide. which sent him off into another level of depression and now in prison for 2 and a half years after a dui,assaulting police and beating his girlfriend.

Bad mistake. He seems in control of all his senses and bearing in mind some of the fights hes been in, hes pretty lucky he still has them. Wayne has nothing to prove to anyone. Hes got the respect of EVERYONE in the game plus the fans so he should call it a day and concentrate on losing that accent ha!

 

it was one sided, but not a beating. calzaghe showed the heart of a 10 year old bully, never taking a chance and cruising to a dull victory while looking as spastic and embarassing as ever while "showboating" (or seizing, i couldn't tell). a cut over jones eye is the only evidence of a beating but he was never seriously hurt, which is sad considering how everyone and their mother seems to hurt jones lately

 

i know. he's happy, rich, very busy with commentary and broadcasting duties. like you said everyone loves him...his chin is the only thing he'll still have going for him and it's also the very thing that could cause him irrepairable damage
