And to highlight this point with regard to punch resitance: Helenius, Fury & Vital ALL allegedly broke their hands during fights with Chisora punching him in the head. EVERY single one of them has said Chisora has the best 'chin' they have ever faced including Haye too who was the only one to put him on the floor. But you can't train punch resistance, in my opinion MASSIVE head, huge shoulders & massive neck does the job :good
David Price will be on the list soon, blasted out repeatedly in headgear, dropped by 12 year old tyson fury, hurt bad in sparring by pulev doesnt bode well
disagree about the massive head theory loads of solid chinned fighter with normal head size for their weight class
Heard on ringside dean francis is thinking about making a comeback. His pf ko was a shocker iirc......
Graham earl dropped him had him on wobbly legs Marquez stopped him Casamayor dropped him a few times in the first round and then stopped him I don't think this is the best example This content is protected
Katsidis's lousy defence and all-out attacking style doesn't help a bunch there, mind. He's kind of leaving it out to be hit more often than normal, and he's taken more wear & tear than others due to that.
Earl clocked him after Katsidis thought the fight had been stopped. That was Earl's only real moment of success. But Kats has always been a little vulnerable. That Casamayor stoppage was ridiculous. Michael had turned that fight around and had it in the bag, and for some reason went ploughing in for a stoppage. Idiot, leaving yourself open for a hard-hitting, super smart counter puncher like Casamayor.
i think this muscle is more important for punch resistance than head size: This content is protected This content is protected
Not British, but this guy always springs to mind when talking about punch resistance: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=5316&cat=boxer
