100% correct. People who call Guzman a runner obviously havent seen his fights. He has opted to stand and trade (while taking bombs on that chin of his) tons of times. Not even close to a runner.....

 you are correct on that one. Prime Calderon wasn't a runner, but I think he is on the track team now

    Yeah I know . . . I mean . . . he used to exchange punches a lot before . . . it's only in the JMM fight that he completely doesn't wanted to.

NOt sure if it's denial, hypocrisy or plain stupidity that makes some of you refuse to admit that Floyd was a runner.

There's plenty of evidence to prove this:

    Ex: [YT]c6R6s_JYXZQ[/YT]

cut to around min 7:20 for the start of first round. PBF spends about 20 secs straight running. He then stops, hits and runs again.

And this is just the first round, a blueprint for the rest of the fight.

Mind you, this is only one fight, but there's plenty of others like it.

wtf.... You'd be the worst trainer on earth. Maybe he should have pulled a PDL and kept swinging and exchanging instead of using a defense and a little bit of legs getting KTFO in the process and made look like a fool instead.

I would love to have seen that but there was no need on Floyd's part to do that, FLoyd's not a brawler, you are what you are.

My beef is with those fans who refuse to accept something so ridiculously obvious!

This is a joke right?? Fist of all, I was referring to what the most popular methods of response tend to be - NOT what I would do or insruct someone else to do. The first two things I mentioned were clinching, and raising the guard and moving to the ropes.

    :patsch

Secondly, you would be the worst trainer on Earth if you think what he was doing was the most effective or correct thing to do. CLINCHING is what he should have done. Apparently he didn't or doesn't know how to do that. Jim Watt was going crazy when Cotto was flailing around, running, without out a clue how to protect himself.

Watt was saying how everything Cotto was doing was the worst possible thing he could have done, and Jim Watt was absolutely correct about that. Cotto almost got KTFO because of it. He got hit with about 20+ extra power shots each time he was hurt because of the running and back-peddling. You can't run when you're punch drunk and stumbling around! Absolutely STUPID.

    :patsch

my beef is with so called boxing fan who can't admit there bias .. This so called evidence is evidence to my point .. floyd far from ran from Chavez, and for you to say this is evidence of that, is just being stupid..
Floyd buffed the **** out of Chavez head and shifted his game to a level Chavez could not comprehend, as chavez would admit later and even dawn a Im a new Floyd Mayweather fan T shirt. 25 ko out of 39 wins , that over a 50% Ko ratio for someone who's is labeled pure boxer.

So to say floyd is a runner in any shape matter or form is being narrowed minded and bias.

I guess he was running when he buffed Corrales , gatti and Zab also , there plenty other I a sure you .

Floyd is a lot of things and one of those is a "runner"!

TO even try to deny this with so much tape available is simply unbelievable.

Congrats, You just made the ****** list!:deal

    I made the ****** list .. sure I did ..

and you just made the duffas award , last I remember about the chavez fight , it was stopped because chavez was getting his ass whooped .. Floyd use side to side movement, his reach , and speed to pick chavez apart from the outside , then moved the fight on the inside to beat Chavez at his own game .. if you call that running then you need to hand in your boxing fan card , because it pretty apparent you don't know what the **** your talking about.

Iv use the analogy before and feel need to use it again for the slow folk ..
So are you saying that in a knife fight , you would throw your gun away and fight bare handed to make the fight more interesting ..?? if you said yes then your a ******.
