Don't think he's on the downside of his career, he performed REALLY good against Mayweather and gave it his all. Though I agree with you there a bit, the way I see it is his last loss could be affecting him which is why I'm thinking his next fight is a 50/50 type of fight considering how he would recover from a vicious loss.
I wouldn't but it I didn't buy the first one I watched it at a sportsbar and would do the same if there's a rematch.
im a fan of hatton and went to vegas to watch the fight and although he got ko d the reason for this is because he didnt want to coast the last couple of rounds,he didnt know what it was to lose and kept coming forward at all costs.when cortez wouldnt allow hatton to get inside or floyd elbowed him each time he did without punishment ,this left hattons only option as to lunge in,which was what finished him.floyd wouldnt ko hatton with a fair ref and thats not an excuse its there to be seen.hatton took about 6 or 7 of floyds biggest punches full on nearly snapping him in half and didnt go down till the tenth.saying that i dont think hatton would win the fight as when hatton was on the inside floyd seemed to be just as effective as hatto, but it would be a lot closer and no way would floyd ko him .
The reason why I think he's on the downside of his career is because of the loss. I think he's losing his will to fight, and considering his bad habits, his will might have been the leading force that drove him to do what he does and give the best effort of his career against Mayweather. I'm just skeptical about whether or not that version of Ricky Hatton still exists, although I think that Witter losing gave Hatton quite a bit of relief and may have helped to boost his confidence.
That's exactly the way I see it too, the confidence he brings doesn't seem to be there either. We'll find out after the fight. :good
He looked good against PBF before tiring out. I'd probably tune in to see if he could do better next time out. He looked on the road to beating PBF for awhile in their fight.
If Hatton goes straight from Lazcano to MAyweather, and MAyweather goes straight from Oscar to Hatton, then i won't even watch it, let alone buy it
hatton would have to mix it up a bit more, not be so predicatable, not get frustrated and stick to his game plan, i may be clutching at straws but with a different ref i see a UD for mayweather but only about 115-113
Nothing, its a pointless rematch. Atually there is a "point" to it. . . if you consider a built in excuse to duck the AM-COtto winer a "point".
If Floyd moved to a catch weight or even 140 it would make it more interesting. Half a stone does make a difference, especially for a little guy. Floyd still very clear favourite though.
I have to watch everye major PPV. But this one i was not excited at all the first time around and it was a boring ass fight until the KO. So no just to make a point i wouldnt buy it.
