If the fight happens at 154, will mayweather deserve credit for winning, even if he makes canelo look bad?

Canelo WILL be great when his career is done. Kid is 22 and we are talking about him fighting an ATG. I can see Canelo beating Mayweather. In my opinion, if Canelo fullfills the potential he has, he can be an ATG. He has THAT potential.

I voted for second but, its the best fight out there for Mayweather, i think Lara beats Canelo then if he did Mayweather beating Lara would be his best win because I think Lara is legit

Is there nothing in-between "all the credit in the world" and "canelo is a hype-job"

It will be a great win. Canelo is a good fighter and definitely has all the tools to propel himself to greatness and stardom. Should a 36 year old Floyd beat him at 154... that's a great win.

Don't like either of the options. Canelo hasn't hit a peak but isn't green and certainly not a hype job, he just beat a solid 154lb fighter. It would be a solid win, but not among his best.

**** no...he'd be a respectable win though, which is more than we can say for his last few outings.

Canelo isn't a hype job, but he's still pretty green. He hasn't reached his full potential yet, but the kid is propelling himself into ATG territory. It won't do much for Floyd, resume-wise, just defeating Canelo, but it would still be a great win.
