I just read current usyk vs prime wlad
No usyk is over the hill and prime wlad would win, as prime wlad is much better than a worn fury

At their best it's a pick um
Usyk more skilled and wlad bigger but very skilled with power

Yes he has a lot of traits that would give Wlad problems; movement that Wlad always struggled with, southpaw so can take away the jab, pressure and feints that can tire Wlad out and force him to overreact, and is very good at getting out and avoiding the clinch. Though would still be a tough fight either way but Usyk can def beat him.

    Usyk

Usyk is a master in the clinch and he would neutralise that part of Wlads game, without the clinch Wlad would be hopeless.

Usyk’s head movement would help him avoid the jab and his feet are quick enough to land on Wlad before Wlad steps back

B.S. he punched himself out and played the blame game.

Agreed its no different than when Wladimir punched himself out vs Puritty aswell samething.

Puritty, Brewster, both had pretty solid chins and soaked up the punishment and took their chance when Wladimir punched himself out it's not rocket science.

As for the thread a prime Wladimir would beat this current version of Usyk yes apart from Sanders who had dynamite power. Wladimir usually did pretty well vs Southpaws and didn't lose a single round to another highly skilled smaller Southpaw in Byrd.

Usyk is past his prime now so it's a big ask favouring him over a prime Wladimir.

Corrie was a fast handed southpaw who was the same size.

We can’t just dismiss it because Wlad wasn’t prime.

There’s a reason Vitali was sent in.

    Haye wasn’t smoked at all.

    Wlad was incredibly cautious.

Sanders was bigger than Usyk and more importantly hit way harder.

We agree again, usyk is not prime
A fairer comparison would be wlad when he fought Fury vs now, as they are similar aged. Wlad a little older

I might pick usyk in that, but difficult to say
I don't think this usyk beats wlad from 15 years ago

Wlad is imo the worst stylistic opponent fir usyk. Wlad had an atg jab and atg straight right and left hook + grabbing and leaning. Imo it's a 55-45 in favor of prime wlad

Wlad could take this one for sure , and with his superior jab he could control distance far better than AJ

34 year old wlad beats any version of Fury and Usyk.

WK was great in his prime but he was scared to get hit & liked to stack the deck with sloppy canvases etc .. Usyk isn't & doesn't.. he's better all round.. better boxer, better fighter. Even playing field I'd favour Usyk.
