I would. The only reason they didn't fight at 140 was because Hatton turned the fight down.

Say what you want about Hatton, The guy was no joke, was undefeated and was ranked in the top 10 p4p.

 That makes no sense. Nor is it even true.

Yes, based off his work at 140, where he was at his best and most effective.

I know some idiots would have said he's ducking JMM because of how the fights went with Pac at the lower weights... Then Pac would be fighting him now, and beats him down like I expect.. Then it would be MORE idiots talking **** about how Floyd ducked him and Pac whipped on him. :D
Yeah I know that, but some people either don't know that or act like they don't.

Nobody forced him at all, but that's an excuse people STILL use for the fight.

Oh you're talking about HOW he fought him... Floyd just came back from a long layoff, maybe he wanted to get rounds under his belt? Hell I don't know, but I don't think he was scared of getting caught or hurt by JMM going for the KO if that's what you mean... Just not his style, and I'm quite sure his fans know this...

Cotto fight will hopefully tell more about this. I haven't seen **** from Margo since the scandal to believe Mosley was the first fight...

Dude, i am not suggesting he was afraid of anything. That's twice now you've used that. I know what you are saying though. Sure, Floyd can fight anyone anyway he pleases. He can play it safe and stink of the joint. But when you do that, critiscm on your performance should be expected. Especially when you just beat up an old LW.

He's only fought twice since, once vs, a tune up after a long layoff. And then vs. Pac, whom he looked pretty good against at times. Margarito didn't KO everyon PRIOR to Cotto either. So there's some inconsistecy there on how he''s supposed to look.

    Oh, no. Lance is here.

Look, in my opinion Baldomir and Margarito are carbon copies of each other. Both fight in a hands down, face up style. Only reason Marg is more successful is because he hits harder and he's got TR behind him. Had he kept winning his fights then fighting Floyd would have eventually happened. But I guess you think more highly of Marg than I do. He ain't nothing but a club fighter to me. Same as Baldomir. But at the time Baldomir had the lineal title. He was on a 9 year winning streak. And people were singing his praises after he beat 2 fighters no one even expected him to be competitive against.

Regardless, you damn right people would say Floyd ducked him. You think just because he fell off the face of the Earth that that would make a difference. For christs sake, people say Floyd ducked Tszyu. How does Floyd duck someone who left to get surgery. Comes back and fights his mandatory in Hatton. Which could have led to a unification bought with Floyd but instead resulted in retirement. But Floyd ducked him? Come on, even you can't be that naive. But then again. Knowing your post history, you probably could be.

So what you're suggesting is that Floyd is afraid of something?

Maybe unwarranted but only because the sports testing policies are outdated.

Pac doesn't have to take the tests if he doesn't want to. Only if he wants to fight Floyd. So far it seems like skipping the drug tests have been more important than fighting Floyd though. :think

I know how you are about people putting words in your mouth. :D  My bad! Why do you think Floyd chooses to fight this way? Do you see a difference in how he fought Mosley vs Marquez, and if so, why do you think he fought them different?

So that's three fights... Hasn't shown it any of them IMO... I don't expect him to KO everyone, but I haven't seen the same effective pressure fighter I did prior to getting caught vs Mosley.. Maybe the Mosley fight took something out of him? That's why I want to see the Cotto fight, should give us some insight.
