Kessler is a very good fighter, who had bad strategy against Calzaghe. Sure, he could give Pavlik a very good fight. Kessler should of gave Calaghe a tougher fight, as he has the ability. I have rarely ever seen a fighter get schooled so bad as Kessler beat Andrade. It seemed Andrade couldn't even land one punch, and was getting hit by everything in return.
i have said that Kessler was better than Pavlik, never. I actually see it as a coinflip type fight. I don't see how Jermain being black or Mikkel being white have any say in the discussion. I thought Tayloe had a much tougher time against hopkins, as i scored 1 fight a piece for both combatants. while i had Calzghe beating Hopkins 9-3, 116-111. To say that Joe Calzaghe-esque style is easy for Pavlik in untrue because Kelly has never fought anyone that has the physical attributes, handspeed, footwork, feinting, and defensive prowess, awkward angles that entails the style of a Joe Calzaghe type fighter. how a fighter like a Joe Calzaghe had performed against a Bernard Hopkins has absolutely no bearing on how he would perform against a Kelly Pavlik. Hopkins and Pavlik couldn't be any more different. same gos for Jermain Taylor and Joe, which is why they fought completely different vs. Nard despite having a similar outcome (win). It's also unfair to Kelly Pavlik to say that because Calzaghe fought incredibly well vs Mikkel Kessler that he is going to fight well against Kelly. Kelly and Mikkel have some similar attribytes, good jab, dynamite right hand, solid footwork and good beards, but Kelly has a much higher workrate and fantastic stamina. I am certainly looking forward to Pavlik Calzaghe. Honestly, when i look at Calzaghe vs. Pavlik, they have no real common opponents, so while everyone believes they have some insight to a potential result, it could be completely different. it's good to see a matchup where I genuinley could see a plethora of possibilities for an outcome.
The first time pavlik ever got knocked down was against taylor. Then kelly made taylor look like a *****. Kelly pavlik is pound for pound the best. he Never backs away, and he makes every fighter have to change there game plan. kessler would be no different, kelly would keep the pressure on him and knock him out in 6 to 7 rounds. the only reason why pavlik got knocked down in the taylor fight was because he started talking **** while getting hit. even then he took more than any other fighter would take before getting knocked down. Pavlik has the best chin in boxing period!!!! im not just sayin this because i live 15 mins away from kelly, im saying it cause its the truth!
Pavlik was knocked down prior to the Taylor fight. I beleive against Zuniga and Mckart. I don't think Kessler has been down though.
Taylor Has faster hands then calzaghe, and he hit kelly that hardest that he could in the second round, and it really didnt seem to bother him late in the fight. TAYLOR CAN HIT, and HIT HARD! Kelly took the best he could throw and won? kelly is the baddest
Taylor in no way has faster ****ing hands than joe Calzaghe. Calzaghe isn't going to knock kelly out unless its in kate rounds and via accumulation of punches. your obvious bias has blinded you into make assumptions and assertions that are about 99% ridiculous and 100% ******ed. yes, Taylor can hit, but he flat out sucks at finishing fights when he has someone hurt. I gve Pavlik full credit for getting up and finishing the job. just to repeat myself, Calzaghe has hand speed far superior to Jermaine Taylors.
Pavlik suffered flash KD's at least twice and came back to brutally destroy the opponent ( Zuniga and Mckart), before Taylor. They probably did say that, but that is not true. Zuniga and Mckart had never been knocked out before until Pavlik .
No he doesn't fool ... Joe does a pathetic imitation of good handspeed because it has the wimpy power of a strong woman ... Jermaine is no RJJ but his imitation would be hurtful ... Joe's is just laughable
another fantastic and unbiased contribution. the total douchebaggery that has been witnessed lately is truly astounding.:verysad
