Foreman would KO Tyson in 2 rounds or less, it would be a much easier fight for him then Fraizer was. Tyson was one dimensional and had at best 1/4 of the heart that Fraizer had.

  2. the argument " joe frazier was by far past his prime when he faced foreman.. he was out of shape, he was 214 pounds etc.... " joe frazier 1973 did look worse than he was really because george foreman was all wrong for any version of frazier, actually 1973 frazier was heavier and stronger and still foreman did handle him like a rag doll , foreman, weighed 217 pounds and frazier 214, foreman was barely 3 pounds heavier, and george was much taller, so frazier was much more compact, but still foreman did look like a giant next to joe, because foreman was naturally much bigger and stronger, the reality is that george foreman would ko any version of frazier, and joe73 was 29 years old, undefeated and very capable to beat ali at this stage of his career and even in 1975 he gave the hell to ali, but he had no chance against foreman. even joe frazier said that he fought much better against ali because they were different men, " ali did talk so much, he did use the jab and he ran" and the other guy did hit like a hammer

Yeah, I'm sure if Tyson was hospitialized for a month, started packing on about 10 extra lbs, quit fighting contenders, didn't train seriously, toured with a funk band, and got knocked out it would just be because his opponent was all wrong for him.

However I'll accept your assement if you write off Doulgas as just being all wrong for Mike.

  4. i think that a motivated tyson would ko bum buster douglas, like i think that foreman pre ali would stop jimmy young(ANOTHER TOPIC). the style of tyson was NOT made for douglas, but the style of frazier was made for foreman.
honestly i think that foreman 73 and frazier 70-71 could fight 10 times, foreman would ko him 10/10,

Mike, with his broad squared off shoulders for George to plant his mitts on and continually shove Tyson backwards, and Mike, with his 5'10" height and 71 inches of reach, simply wouldn't be able to get close enough to do significant damage before Foreman started beating the **** out of him.

In fact, an old and fat arthritic Frazier probably did better in his rematch with George than Mike ever could have done. If Tyson didn't like getting physically manhandled by the passive Bonecrusher, what's going to happen when he's dealing with a guy who forces every step he takes to be in reverse, both with superior punching power and vastly greater physical strength? I don't care how elusive Mike's head movement was, there's nothing he could do to prevent George from using him as another Kirkman brand bowling ball.

No more than the other. Douglas had a strategic approach and style that would always trouble Mike Tyson.

I'm under the impression D'amato actually TOLD Tyson he didn't have a chance in this one.

I'd say he lasts a round over Frazier, if only because he actually had great defense through the first few rounds of a fight despite the necessity to constantly come forward. When his fights would go past 3 or 4 rounds, he'd noticeably decline defensively IMO and open himself up to more blows.

Even the Tyson of the Williams and McBride fights would outlast Frazier's feeble effort against Foreman. And I doubt he would turn his back and literally run away in absolute fear like Frazier did against Foreman, either.

I don't see Foreman landing on Tyson nearly as often as he landed on Frazier. He'd hit him though. Would be a good fight.

Nope Tyson didnt have the heart to get up 6 times.

Thats why he laid down for Douglas, Holyfield and Lewis in the first round :good

tyson is a faster started then frazier, he'd have to rock foreman early to have a solid chance, which he surely could.

He surely could as Foreman wasnt the most elusive guy, and he could be rocked by a hard puncher, like Lyle. And if Tyson does get to him....Foreman wont be getting up
