Wilder wouldn't have fought him to save his life.

Valuev is a tough one. Who did he fight? John Ruiz, Old Holyfield, Changev. Not a great resume, but he was also never hurt in a fight. What type of fighter would be good against him? Someone quick and with good footwork. So Usyk, Fury would probably beat him. I think Kabayel would be a fun fight. Dubois? IDK, it's tough because he was a very unique fighter and fought in a weak era, didn't fight either Klitschko. Who knows, there's too many unknowns.

I guess the real question would be if he can beat the likes of:
    Ajagba
    Wardley
    Chisora
    Sanchez
    Baby Miller
    Jared Anderson
    Joyce
    Andy Ruiz
    Dillian White

All those names are borderline world top 10.

IMO all those matchups would be competitive, but most would go against Valuev.

Honestly, I think he'd win most of those, plus the likes of Hrgovic.

Most of these stand zero chance of getting him out of there, the rest very little...

Valuev was certainly slow and he looked clumsy (moreso than he really was) but his combination of size and durability meant he could beat plenty just on the end of a jab.

Probably, although at the lower, "fringe" end and would lose handily to any real top 10 guy. He beats any non-elite guy on size alone though.

Today i pick Valuev vs almost all
This list is super weak, he beats everyone except Ajagba, Wardey and maybe Chisora who are all even fights

Yes he would. His sheer size and chin alone would have him top 10 in ANY era! Any.

But he’d be a sitting duck against the elite. Usyk, Both Klitschkos, Prime Povetkin, Lewis etc. but he’d absolutely have a decent shot against guys like wilder, witherspoon, mercer, Maskaev, Ruiz etc.

Seeing Haye rock him was such a highlight of David's career.
