How many genuine punchers had Valuev fought to claim he had granite chin (like McCall, Chuvalo, Mercer)? Aside of Haye who put him on the ***** street? Answer is none, ZERO
What magazine was that? That sound like Bull **** to me. If this will be real and serious I would hear about that Only test I hear last years more serious was Wład Klitschko before his Poaneta fight. He was test on crash test manequuin https://m.bild.de/sport/mehr-sport/...bildMobile.html?t_ref=https://www.google.com/ https://v.wpimg.pl/MDg3ODYuYiUGUTl3...IRyA3dkB8cwIGKXduRigmVAZ6G2hAfnRfBHdydx89I0VO
Wasn't even a second when you watch it in real time half a second. He lost his footing for a moment obviously stunned. I do think Zhang beats Valuev but Valuev was better defensively than Joyce even if he was as slow and ponderous.
This content is protected This is the clip here. So I looked at the clock and it is about 1 second that Valuev is looking shaky on his legs and about 3 seconds after that he doesn't look 100% then he's almost fully recovered and plants a jab on Haye. This is round 12 against someone who could definitely whack, Haye was one of the only men to cleanly KO Chisora. Now Zhang probably bangs a bit harder than Haye but he'd probably also be significantly slower and more gassed 12 rounds into a fight. I could see Zhang finding a home for that snappy left he throws and KO certainly is a possibility but I could also see Valuev wearing Zhang down for a points win. Remember Haye could whack and he'd already hit Valuev with hard shots numerous times earlier in the fight. I actually had that fight a draw and thought it was very close although in the fight before that Valuev got a gift vs a 49 year old Holyfield.
Interesting fight! I’d favor Zhang by UD but Zhang does have a lot of moments where he doesn’t throw much at all and isn’t exactly fast on his feet so big Valuev might take advantage of that and pile up the points and damage. But I don’t think he hits hard enough to drop Zhang or cut him up. Possible Zhang becomes the first to drop and stop big Nik. Zhang has nasty power. I still wish we got to see Wlad vs Valuev. It would have been more entertaining than many think. Emanuel wouldn’t have had to yell at Wlad to “Let them go” because Valuev would’ve been right there for everything Wlad had
Yes, why is this myth about Valuev's chin still doing the rounds? He got hurt by lots of guys and most not punchers. He stayed away from big punchers his whole career then got rocked by Haye when he had to cash out.
I think he's big enough of stature that he could've, I also believe that Wilder, Wlad, Joshua and Vitali all would have a good chance of stopping Valuev.
