You've done and amazing job with these kids. Their skills and tenacity blew me away. They've got bright futures ahead of them if the chose to continue boxing.
exstremly talented kids...With the right training and sparring, they could go far.Ofcouse dedication is needed, and the will to train HARD.But the talent are there.
Really a credit to their coach and to them sticking with the same coach and not bouncing around like so many boxers tend to do for various reasons. The hardest part of it for boxers so young is to keep it fun while developing them. I'll pass on the kudos to their coach at Dream Team Boxing in Maryland. Thx.
That would be cool. The youngest was born in Chicago, which is one of the final 4 cities being considered and their evaluation score was just behind Madrid and Tokyo. The others finalists city was Rio de Janiero.
I gotta post this vid, guys. Sorry. The Manny Pacquiao School of boxing Manila, Philippines [yt]kZev2oTWyIY[/yt] :rofl Zero technique, but game little *******s.
Geez, I make a tongue-in-cheek comment and get called a douche poster, of course the two kids are talented, take the stick from up your arse, and get a job in the forum police. You check the rest of my posts they are generally, fair and balanced, sometimes with a touch of sarcasm, or tongue in cheek ism. Lighten up.atsch
Maybe I over-reacted a little. I watched the vid and just knew that some loser masquerading as an expert was going to point out something the boys were lacking. I didn't notice that yours was a tongue in cheek comment. :good
At that tender age the kids are showing tremdous ring generalship and discipline, with fantastic workrate and footwork. Although it was tongue in cheek I do think he is open to the left and the fact he has only been boxing for 9 months probably explains this, no doubt if he tightens up as he moves in offensively he will be a little diamond. I am certainly no expert, but probably have a degree of loser in me :hey. I just hope these kids (who seem great athletes already) aren't swayed by the higher profile sports and stick to boxing, and work on their talent through the amateurs!
Wow that was amazing, better than I expected even after reading these posts, i was in awe! edit: just read about Zimmie Dickinson's amateur career and that I am extremely impressed! First impression blew me away!
Amazingly, both of these guys know the flaws you speak of - they are probably sick of hearing about them from us too. That's when the 'kid part' shows up (figures, right? lol). They are working hard to get better everyday and learn the sport, the art rather of boxing, which is hit and not get hit. Their coach stresses feet, eyes, hands. This was just one of those go to war days, but their actual bouts show more of the art than this sparring session.
One of those bodyshots in my loose gut and I'd **** my pants... Both these kids look great but I favour the kid in the white shorts (At least in this sparring session!), I like his movement! When these kids become famous I'll be able to sit in the pub and say nobby **** like "Yeah, that kids always had a good body attack"...
