Marquez was great back in the day as well, but his more counter-punching style hurt him in terms of popularity with the Mexican fans, as well as putting out a stinker major fight against Norwood(which Marquez won in my eyes, but was a terrible fight). He also was shamelessly ducked by Hamed for being too risky for low money, and Nacho didn't do him any favors in terms of management. Fortunately all this has culminated in him changing his style to a more aggressive boxer-puncher type with still great counter-punching capability on the fly to become one of the more exciting fighters today.
