Casa was done, yes... but had previously knocked out Katsidis in a awsome fight, and Juan Diaz is, and will probably prove if they fight, a better fighter then David Diaz by a comfortable distance. Pacs resume is awsome, but Casa and Juan Diaz considering their positions at the time they were beat are good wins for anyone in their weight class, regardless.

my real take on this is casa was ripe for the pickings at the time when jmm fought. actually i like more this fight for pac back then than david diaz because i am more sure that pac can beat casa than diaz even though we have not seen yet how pac would carry the weight at 135. with casa, he has no belt but was the 135 ring title holder and would be a bigger name for pac's resume than david diaz. casa was already past his prime and not shot and for jmm to stop casa is big accomplishment considering he is moving up in weight. but i just don't like it when people, especially bitching mexicans like uliuli and freddy-wak will just say that david diaz was a **** accomplishment for pac when the same david diaz stopped the guy that casa robbed. as for juan diaz, a very good win for juan marquez. the stoppage makes it huge win. but after the fight it seems that juqn diaz stock is falling thus the "overrated" remark that i made. in hindsight, it might be true because juan diaz was rated so highly back then. but it could also be a case that juan diaz was not fighting at his optimal weight of 135. let's see more of him in the future...
