You do know PPV doesn't stop at the border don't you? Which one was the US citizen? Pac or Marquez? I keep forgetting.
again, if bute is a "hype-job", why the **** NOT fight him?atsch why not fight him NOW when he hasn't yet been "exposed"?! if you fight him now, he is an unbeaten belt-holder who can sell out a venue. guaranteed big money AND legacy. why risk him getting beat (ko'ed) by froch or some other fighter? fighting him after that wouldn't add to your resume. why not take advantage of the fact that a hype-job that you know (?) you can beat is available and will give you another belt, a pay day and even more fame?! :bart
Style wise this could be a very compelling match up. Picture of Ward's hand tells the real story though. He ain't fighting no one for 6 months would be my guess. If he knew it was hurt in the 6th, he knew it during the post fight interviews as well. And let's be honest here, these guys are coached on what to say post fight, win or lose.
You're not making any sense. Will Ward eventually fight him? Of course. But why does he have to jump at the ****ing chance when he's the recognized number one AND has an injured hand. Some of you have a ****ing mad on cause Ward's not fighting Bute tomorrow, get real, that's not how it works. Wards got options, Froch has less, that's why Carl is probably fighting Bute next. Just enjoy that fight and stop being a :|.
No, let's not change gears. The TRUTH is Bute outsells Ward in North America. Period. The numbers back that up. If they fought in Oakland FFS Bute would probably still out sell him. The Montreal boxing scene is 10X healthier than any place in the states. That has been proven time and time again.
How much boxing related revenue did Montreal generate this year compared to Las Vegas? Don't worry, I'll wait.
For a city (province, really) that houses only 2 fighters who deal with the world scene, it generates a lot more than LV per. Consider Bute sells 15-20K on a good night. If Pacquiao was from Canada, he'd fill a stadium with 30K people. Hell Pacquiao as he is now, brings a healthy 10-15K people to the Bell Centre IMO.
Oh, so you're thinking just because someone fills more seats in a place where the fight is happening, that means more revenue, I see. Disregarding advertisement dollars, PPV's and tourists spending money. Yea, Montreal makes WAAAYY more money than LV when it comes to boxing. Ya'll smoke some great ****.
