I think AJ KO's him. Yes, they can both KO each other with one punch. It's about who lands first. That's it. AJ is the better boxer. He will see the opportunity much earlier and land.
Let's see what happens this weekend before handicapping any future Joshua fights. If he looks confident and comes through this one okay -- whether by KO or decision -- then I'll give him all kinds of credit. I have thought Wilder would be a 60/40 favorite if they fought today, and Joshua would have been a 60/40 favorite prior to Ruiz.
And other guys would be better if they punched harder. Or took a better punch. Or were in better shape. Or were less robotic. Or more determined. Etc.
Comparing Wilder to them 3? Don't you think that's a bit silly to compare since Wilder hasn't even finished his career yet?. He has fought Fury, Brezeale and Ortiz in the past 2 years...These guys aren't **** fighters. Fury is a great boxer and does things no one should be doing at his height, Everyone says he was unfit and all but the man still went 12 rounds with ease, Brezeale is a big hitter with a great chin and heart, and Ortiz is a big hitting 6'4 Southpaw who can box your head off and cause mismatch nightmares. And he is scheduled to fight Fury, who is definately more fit than last time and had some more tuning. You are fooling yourself if you think he ain't testing himself yet. 2 years ago I would've agreed with you 100% but he is upping the quality of fighters as of late, you can't really complain.
AJ doesn't have 1 shot ko power. He's also a boxer who doesn't adjust well. I'm having trouble seeing how Joshua makes it past the 7th round at this point because he is there to be hit and clearly folded when he was in the ring with someone with a little self belief in them. Wilder is longer, quicker hits harder and is not afraid to lose
